I get new games for €45, exactly $60, and I think thats a GOOD price. Obviously it depends on the game but it also depends on your interest. I am not going to drop 45 for Sonic but I would for Battlefield, etc, etc. Besides, sales are the only revenue devs get, they dont have the equivalent of a gig or a cinema to make more if you want to compare it to other industries. Bottom line is that if they put the price down, the quality goes down, unless your happy with Angry Birds of course. Nu...
Sony is one gaming company that always does things in the best interests of their fans. I would be shocked if this were true. I never buy used games anyway but it plays a big role in the overall picture of the gaming industry.
.............LOL!!!
If you hate your local store then why are you only switching to HMV now? And no, it wasn't to be expected. People getting violent and aggressive over reward points, etc. For starters, reward points are a privilage and secondly, they are in administration. You think you feel bad because you cant spend your gift card, think about how the guy behind the counter feels with his job on the line.
So its not a console anymore? Thats the way Microsoft are paving the future of the Xbox. If the the no disk drive story is true then I can definitely see the death of it as a console. No disk drive is a no buy for me.
I can't wait to see some gameplay. First time in a long time that I have been so excited about a game. Mostly because of what I have seen/read so far, TLOU seems to be an original take on the survival genre. I hope it is!
Having had a PS3 since day one, I thought it was underwhelming to say the least when it came out. Its like a completely different console now to the one I bought on day one. Sony constantly strive for excellent and unique games, Journey being the latest example, and they are never afraid to take risks. For that they have my respect.
I have a Wii, 360, PC and PS3 but personally, the PS3 is the best console this gen for me and by a good margin. I barely use my other gamin...
"any ps3 exclusive will be hyped to death even if it was a Barbie game"... goes to show how Sony have set the bar for exclusives. I can't wait to see this game in action.
Completely agree. Charge them $15 for a new ending if they care for it that much.
Great article. Yes, IGN are ridiculously inconsistent in their reviewing. They have a responsibility as the biggest gaming site out there but they fail. I remember Lord of the Rings War In the North review had the comment "combat and every single fight becomes boring and repetitious, same formula every fight." (something along them lines), and then they completely fail to mention that Uncharted 3's fight scenes have the EXACT same formula in their Uncarted 3 review. That get...
RE4 was creepy at times but it sure as hell wasn't scary.
What!? Dead Space scared the shit out of me, if Capcom went back to Resi's roots it would definitely be a bigger hit than Dead Space despite how good Dead Space was. Resident Evil is no longer a horror game, its an action game unfortunately. I hear David Jaffes next idea is a survival horror. I trust that guy could do a good job with the genre.
I think its pathethic. I didn't like a lot of endings I have played throughout the years but I didn't ask for the dev to give me a new one. I hope they charge the moaners 10 quid each for a new ending.
If this won't be an excuse to slap a tv license on broadband then I don't know what will be.
Agreed. Confrontation would have been top notch if it was bug free.
Im on a Resident Evil buzz lately, just finished 2 and am playing through 3 now, so will probably pick this up. The review scores are all over the place though, whats the deal?
I was a huge Gears 1 player before Epic completely destroyed the online in Gears 2. Guess what I did? I stopped buying Gears of War games. Problem solved. If devs fuck up so badly then the only solution is to stop buying their games. If enough people did that collectively then they would definitely listen.
This issue has first world problem written all over it. Pathetic.
Oh mammy, my videogame ending is terrible... Definitely a first world problem lol!
For me it doesn't matter how powerful the console is. If they continue down the casual road then whats the point? Im all about the content, not the specs. Im far more optimistic for Sony's next console given the first party studios they have. The WiiU looks decent as well but I want to see more. I lost faith in Microsoft around the time Gears 2 was released. Their 'vision' has been downhill since then.
