Sup Yoda! I have a PS3, a Wii, a gaming PC and I HAD two 360s. One broke and I traded the other one when I lost my passion for Gears of War for various reasons (the only game that kept me on the system). If you can't see that Microsoft has bailed on the hardcore market then you are blind. Another Halo.. fantastic, been there before. Other than that there is not much else that I can't get on a PS3 as well as a bunch of great exclusives. Sony has the balls to pump out new IPs that...
He's not going to change Microsofts direction which seems to be entertainment and Kinect. He will focus on whatever their direction is so good luck to him. On the other hand Sony will be keeping it hardcore for the hardcore market, like they have done year in, year out. Thank you Sony for not bailing on us.
Would be a day one buy for me if the did it. Sim City is coming back so fingers crossed EA dip into the old school games basket. That's fine by me!
I agree. I'm getting one soon enough. When GTA, COD and the rest of the big games hit the the Vita I reckon it will sky rocket in popularity... provided them games are done right.
I'm playing Resi 2 at the moment. It's the best RE game in my opinion and it still holds up to a lot of AAA games today. RE 4 is a close second. I wish Capcom would revert back to actual survival horror. Not much ammo, very little going on (which adds to the tension), music that sets the atmosphere and a credible scenario. The story is so convoluted now it's lost it's appeal. Oh and what is their obsession with all them building sized monsters made out of gunge and eyeba...
walked into my local GAME store on friday and it was dead. No one in it bar me. I remember ten years ago or so when I went in on a friday evening it would be busy. I put gaming stores decline down to online gaming because the prices haven't changed. I know so many people who play online exclusively. The new generation of young gamers have grown up in cycles of COD, Warcraft, etc and don't regularly buy new games because of the lasting appeal of online multiplayer. The fps for ex...
First thing I thought when I seen this was discount on a Vita! Ill have to check it out. Is this all GAME stores or only in specific regions?
PS+ is fucking awesome. This month alone I got Far Cry 2 (which is ok), Resident Evil 2 & 3 (fucking yes!!) and GTA 4 and its two expansion packs for €28. Also, a shit load of avatars and dynamic themes. Shits all over Live.
Depends on how you define 'games'!! Man, these articles are fucking stupid.
Nice, GOW 2 was my favourite GOW game. Didn't have 3's graphics obviously but definitely had the better story.
You can add another unit to that lads, I'm getting one in May!!
Im no COD fan but just wait until a 'real' COD game hits the Vita or better yet, a new GTA. The Vita has the power of an Xbox or PS3 for crying out loud, I wouldn't be surprised if the only thing holding back GTA 5 on the Vita was the memory card size. I don't own a Vita (yet!) but I played FIFA on it in a store the other day for 5 mins and I was stunned at how it is exactly the same as the PS3 version which I play all the time. Im going to hold out until next Christmas unt...
Pure bullshit. I have a PS3 since day one and two 360s. The 360s are traded in now purely because of Sonys exclusives vs Microsofts exclusives. I couldn't care for Live and the 'wonderful' party chat because I can use Skype for that, if I ever use it at all. I loved Gears 1 so much but Epic ruined it with Gears 2. Gears 3 is good but its lost its impact with the release of other games. It was unique back when it was first released.
With PSN I get free online...
Nice, now give us Skype and Youtube and my chances of buying it go up 90%!
Tell me about it. I have a friend who has a 50 inch screen in his room but he watches movies in bed on his... ipad!! What a nerd.
God of War is on Vita? Or are these PSP games you can download for it?
If the Call of Duty Vita "game changer" story is true then Vita will be a huge success. A portable online multiplayer fps would break new ground in my opinion and others would soon follow. Im no COD fan but I hope COD on Vita works as well online as its console counterparts.
When I see Gabe Newell I see Peter Griffin.
Wow, imagine having to play a PC game with a mouse and keyboard, oh the humanity!!
I agree. As much as Uncharted 3's set pieces blew me away, the gunfights to get to each of them were far too repetitive. Each gunfight has a few waves and each wave gets progressively tougher. Throw in a 7ft mallet head for some cqc (during a gunfight) just for the sake of it. I got bored of the repetition eventually. I thought Uncharted 2 was the better game overall.
