Good programmers will be able to program for both with ease.
Comparing a PC and a console is laughable. For starters, a "PC" is a completely abstract term. What kind of PC we talking about here? If you compared the PS4 to a PC with the same spec the PS4 would murder it. Any comparison to a PC with better hardware defeats the purpose of the comparison.
Jesus. The quality of articles getting approved on this site is dropping to say the least.
I have a beefy PC, but am holding out for a PS4 slim version. That's when I drop the cash.
I've got 6 cores, a 780Ti, 64GB of RAM and a very tasty monitor, but I'm getting a PS4 when they announce a slim model. Too many good games to ignore. I care little about the specs and tend to get lost in a good game. Doesn't matter whether I'm playing it at 30fps 720p or 60fps 1080p. Can't stand people with PCs who think they are the shit, when consoles have a ton of great games they won't be able to play on it.
I enjoyed UC2 multiplayer for a while but I agree. Pump all the resources into a longer, better campaign. I would much prefer that.
You are basically describing Gears of War + customization, which is no bad thing. Like you say, give everyone default weapons and put heavy weapons around the map at strategic points. That's it. Win, win situation.
Return of the King by EA wants a word with you.
Played Uncharted 2 & 3 over Christmas, and have restarted MGS4. Still love my PS3.
"i don't want to play laggy PS3 games with a chance of disconnection on my shiny PS4" - if that didn't happen would you not give it a shot? If it is lag free then it is well worth it in my opinion.
Haven't used mine in ages. Failed to live up to the hype.
It was fixed a good while back.
I second this. No one cares for a fighting game with Sony characters. To add to that no one really cares for fighting games full stop. They aren't as appealing as they used to be since the decline of local multiplayer. They used to be the king of the multiplayer genre but not anymore. SF should be good enough for Sony in this department.
It's the Killzone story that is my problem with that franchise. I can't relate to the characters in it at all. Technically though, they are an excellent studio.
Dunno why this is news. The article says Spencer had to reiterate the timed exclusive element of the deal. So nothing has changed.
Not at all. Fighting games have lost their appeal. They have been replaced by first person shooters. If BF for example went exclusive, that would be a worry for either side.
It didn't damage their reputation. With all due respect Evolution aren't a hugely popular studio. If it was Santa Monica or Naughty Dog then I would think differently.
I've been playing games for 25 years, so please, enlighten me. It is not a 10/10 game.
I really think reviewers pander to GTA. I'm bored with it at this stage. Aside from graphics, it hasn't really changed since San Andreas.
Hopefully not another exclusive Sony flop.
