I agree. I am glad that the game got the sales it deserved.
Where are the haters who claimed it will not sell? When the game was revealed, they were doubting the graphics. When the graphics were confirmed, they were doubting the gameplay. When the gameplay was confirmed, they were doubting the reviews. When the reviews were perfect, they were doubting the sales. Now the sales are blockbuster; I wonder if they can still find something to criticize. Maybe they will just start calling th...

No it will not be or at least not to the extent of XBOX360 because WE (including you) are the trend setters. We passionate informed consumers who buy a product at launch determine the initial sales and the trend of future sales. The rest of the late customers are just trend followers who buy whatever other people are buying. Finally, games and fun are the factors that will determine lifetime sales and I do not see majority of the people having much fun on Xbone with those restrictions in plac...

MS does not realize that they cannot force people to buy new games. A person who used to buy used games because of inadequate money will suddenly not conjure up money to buy new games. He will just quit buying them altogether and in turn will not keep a console. MS's practices will shrink the industry and make it a hobby mostly for the rich.

And Xbone fans were celebrating the initial reports of Xbone preorders being greater than PS4. Once both the consoles and their prices were revealed everyone flocked towards PS4.

Oh we will see about that (if it succeeds or not). That is up to us gamers to decide. Even the uninformed gamers and casuals who buy it will be up in arms once they run into the restrictions for the first time. Deception can only take you so far until the truth is revealed.

Looks like MS has gone mad. I do not know what they were thinking designing such a product. How can they expect this thing to sell with so many restrictions? A customer would need a highly detailed instructional manual with all the do's and dont's to play this thing. Maybe MS will publish the manual after the console release and make money from that as well. Free manuals with a product are also hurting the industry, you know. ;-)

HAHA! Where are the people who were claiming that PS4 will have DRM too and that it is inevitable. What have you guys got to say now!? Huh!? LOL! Great E3 conference by Sony; made me very happy and excited for my PS4!

Gamers, get ready to get Xboned by MS.

Looks like the rumours about MS hiring people to post positive comments about Xbox One and put a positive spin on negative news on popular online forums is true.

The Gamecube was the cheapest console of its generation with all the Nintendo first-party games and even some third party but that did not help it sell well. Why do you expect that low price and limited number of first party games will help Wii U when it did not help the Gamecube? Nintendo faithful will buy the console for the handful of sparse first party releases but the general public needs steady stream of a variety of games including third party games. PS4 and Xbone will be providing sti...

Whenever someone falls in to MS's trap and buys an XbOne, you can tell them, "you just got Xboned!" and laugh out loud. :-)

It looks like MS is readying an excuse in advance for disappointing everyone at E3 after their lofty promises of 15 exclusives. It is always the same: " Tons of exclusive games will be revealed at the NEXT event". Notice how it is always at the next event and not the current one.

Well said. MS needs to learn a lesson. If these just officially confirmed MS practices were to gain ground then console gaming as we know it is finished. I cannot believe anybody would block used games or defend it. Second hand and used market exists in every industry and business sector. Just imagine if we were not able to buy a used car, furniture, house, electronics or anything else. The concept of blocking used gaming is outrageous. The same logic of maximizing developer/manufacturer reve...

I believe MS is responsible for this dumbing down of gaming. They killed the creativity and risk-taking in gaming industry by making the AAA shooter genre and online multi-player popular. In the previous generations of consoles we had creative, original and sometimes weird games because developers were not afraid of taking risks and failing to recover the costs. As a result, we got games like Ico, Shadow of the Colossus, Kingdom Hearts, Xenogears, Vagrant Story and many other such original IP...

Sony is not some electronics store on the street corner. It is multinational corporation that deals in semiconductors, consumer electronics, media/entertainment, Telecom equipment and computer hardware. The company earned a revenue of $72.39 billion in the most recent fiscal year. On the other hand Microsoft earned $73.72 billion. The total assets for Sony are worth $151.131 billion while Microsoft's assets are worth $121.2 billion. Finally as of 2010, Bluray br...
