I agree. As much as I like and appreciate games like Uncharted and the new Tomb Raider, I really got tired of all those infinite bad guys. How many henchmen can thugs like Eddy, Salim, Talbot and an island cult possibly have!? It got really boring and frustrating because of hours of shooting at a time.
I have not owned a Nintendo console since the NES and have been a PS gamer since the 90s. However, if Nintendo did make a powerful console with the same level of third-party support as PS or Xbox then I would gladly buy a Nintendo console instead of any other. Nintendo hardware and first party software is very high quality. The only problems with Nintendo are lack of third party support, dormant franchises and underpowered consoles.
All the great and creative minds of the Squaresoft era have left the company. The PS3 sold 6 million in the first year and Wii U has barely sold 4 million. That is not the "roughly same". Yep! Dont forget all the great games PS3 is getting in 2014. Lightning Returns(it is considered great by its fans anyway), Tales of Symphonia Chronicles, Tales of Xillia 2, FFX/X-2 HD Remaster, Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD Remix, MGS5, The Evil Within and finally PERSONA 5! It is hard to believe that the PS4 is 7 year old and the end of its life!
1) Nintendo DOES NOT have $10 billion in the bank. Everyone has been spreading that lie and nobody has even bothered to check the figures from the financial statements themselves. I have been hearing from Nintendo fans for the past whole year that PS4/Xbone will perform just as bad as the Wii U because the economy is down and console gaming market is shrinking. They have been using that as an excuse for Wii U's poor sales. Now PS4 arrives and surpasses Wii U's lifetime sales in just two days. I will not rub salt in the wound and will just say that I am glad that console gaming is alive and well.
That is an opinion and not a fact. I agree that they are very highly rated by the media and are high quality but what good are they for Nintendo and Wii U if they do not sell and cannot sell consoles? Even Knack outsold SM3DW and that is not a good thing.

Why are you Xbone trolls so hung up on 60FPS? Maybe because that is the only thing you got with Forza. The graphics are last gen (dat cardboard crowd!) and the content was ripped out and put on sale separately. 60FPS is in no way a hallmark of superiority; even PS2 games were running on 60FPS. Playing Tetris on 60 FPS does not makes it next-gen or better. Just dumb down the graphics enough and anything can run at 60FPS; that is what happened with Forza 5.

Well, some other developers were also reporting the power of the cloud like Turn 10 but that didnt turn out to be true in the end so they are not always plausible. MS executives too were claiming that the power of the cloud can make Xbone four times powerful. We cant even trust the "reliable" official sources these days because of all the lies and moneyhatting. It will display in 720p and will look the same when it comes to all the next-gen graphical effects. It will look vastly superior to Killzone 3 and will still look gorgeous, just a little less sharp and clear as compared to 1080p. You will not notice the difference until you see it running on a 1080p TV. Once you see it, there will be no going back to 720p. :-)

WTH are you talking about? PS4 SOLD THE MOST IN NOVEMBER. Although you can argue that it had more days of sales (16 as compared to 9 for Xbone). MS is just putting a spin on their numbers by dividing the first 9 days of sales (909,132) over the last 9 days of November and claiming that they sold the "fastest" (101,000 per day).
