I also highly doubt EA learned anything.
This is just sad... Comparing a 1000$ video card that won't do jack unless you add another 500-1000$ worth of parts to a 400-500$ game console.
Well, as an example Windows 8 was in beta for a year and in the time the number one request was to bring back the start bar and make Windows 8 function like all the old versions. Did they listen? No.
Microsoft does not give customers the products they want. They sell them the products they want them to have.
This gen was definitely SE's worst by far. IMO one of the biggest failures was FF14. Which released then flopped wasting huge amounts of cash then they rebuilt it wasting even more cash. As far as I can tell it's re-release has flopped as well. (I don't actually keep track of it)
They promised it would make it to PS3 but that is obviously not going to be the case as that generation is basically over. The whole thing was a mess and at every turn they went the wro...
Yes please.
I think Nvidia should re-assess there perspective seeing as MS, Sony and Nintendo decided to pass them by. I mean certainly there has to be money to be made with one of those three.
As a consumer i'd prefer AMD to have the business so i'm happy with the result. AMD can use all the help it can get to stay competitive with Nvidia and Intel. It wouldn't benefit the consumer in any way for either of those two to hold monopolies on either of there markets.
I'd buy it.
*high five*
@OrbitalX
What you say is inaccurate, every other competitor has free online.
And on top of that Live is also ad based and trust me the revenue from that is plenty. You don't think they give away space free to Toyota, Ford and McDonalds do you?
And the prices of next gen games won't be decided by Microsoft or Sony it will be EA Ubisoft and Activision.
Also there not going to be giving the consoles away for free just ...
Microsoft can come out with all games they want i'm still not buying it as long as Live costs money.
No, guys, I want to explain what the article creator didn't understand. It's looking for load times faster than they should be. For example Ni No Kuni had a bunch of people complain it crashed. But it was revealed that only downloaded copies of the disk version loaded a certain element too fast causing a memory conflict and crash. The Digital Download version was altered to not do this. So again there not looking for files that load too slow, there looking for files that load too...
I'm all for gaming deals but you can get better prices on Amazon (not even on sale) than this promotion. And if you spend 25$ you'll probably get free shipping too.
Best news all night!
That was my impression as well.
I dunno why everyone seems so surprised. What was the last movie tie in game that was good and not a cash grab?
I'm sorry but I don't think Steam Box is going anywhere fast. Most everyone who talks about it seems to think it's going to be able to play all the games they have on Steam with out understanding that all those games only run on Windows.
As for Linux being the future I hope that's true, but I highly doubt it. Windows is way to entrenched, and the average person who just uses the PC to check mail and shop online is never going to switch to Linux, nor are the...
I'm holding out for the Gears of War point and click adventure game. And Gears of War Bass Fishing looks amazing!
I think that's wishful thinking. The cost for the retail chains has also been brought down by used. The retail chains will not be able to offer the type of discounts you see now. I can't say there won't be any sales but I can guarantee the days of paying 20-30$ for games will end. And the average cost of games will rise dramatically. When competition is lost the consumer is always the loser.
There won't be a bargain bin with out used to drive the price down. If you saw the recent EA meeting report posted here they said they would like to sell every game for full price.
So, I was under the impression that women hated the portrayal of females in games... /sarcasm
