That's not what he said at all. That's not even what the Polygon article this story came from said he said

I agree, that's why i'm getting a PS4. I trust Sony will come out with more new IP's and variety.

I only have to look at the last 3 to 4 years to see who created more exclusive games and new IP's and who has more variety.

Even now Sony is bringing out extremely high quality games for PS3. Ni No Kuni, Last Of Us, Gran Turismo 6, Beyond: Two Souls all different genre's.

And there are at least 15 other exclusive games before ...

192 Gb/s is what Microsoft claims. Actual tests have shown 133 Gb/s.

The only function of Origin was to not have to share profits with Steam. Because of that it will always be seen and a complication and not a service.

Please enlighten me.

I was using Google to look for information. And nothing I found got me to believe there was anything special. I haven't heard anything from Nvidia or AMD talking about this at all.

I'm just saying if it was a major step you'd think someone other than Microsoft would be talking about it.

That would be compression. which also is already a common practice.

What they're talking about is already the way textures work. As you get closer to them higher res textures are displayed.

I can't find any information saying it's anything different than what's already being done.

What does this have to do with this story?

Anyways...

GDDR uses less voltage than normal DDR, that's how they get the clock cycles and speed so high with out burning out the chips.

And also it's not like GDDR5 is a new tech, video cards have been using it for years.

It's not going to be hard at all to manage the heat. In fact I'm sure that a decent heat spreader with a little air flow will be more than enough ...

The cloud has already been in games. It's what they use to serve ads to you in games. And thats probably mostly what it will do next gen also.

That gamepad is just dragging them down. Most people didn't want it and now the cost of it just adds to there troubles on pricing the thing.

Honestly my body instinctively laughed when I read the title.

The truly unfortunate thing is that this great company can't afford to publish there own games.

I really wish more Japanese games would make it to the west.

Red Factions destructible terrain was well done. I'm surprised and disappointed destructible terrain didn't become more popular.

Yea, you can pretty much expect that on some channels you'll see an xbox one commercial every ad break. Just like Windows 8, no one wants it yet if you watch an hour of TV on certain channels you'll see that commercial 4 or 5 times.

Hopefully they'll change the plan to just using a big rocket to shoot all the 1's into the sun, that would be much more impressive news. lol

I would also like to point out that Steam in offline mode doesn't need to be connected except to download your games. Steam can be offline for days weeks months probably years with out an internet connection.

Steam and the box are much more different than they are the same imho.
