@Gravelord
Not sure if being sarcastic... or just plain crazy.
I'm not really sure why they can't just show something from the game already.
I mean, surely they've made SOME sort of progress by now, right?
So why not just show off a new level or something?
(No ones asking for a 15 minute walkthrough Square. Just something that lets us know that the game will be out before we're old.)
...Wasn't Versus announced at E3 2006?
@Theo
Fail.
Realtime is not synonymous with gameplay.
Wow. Am I dreaming or did Yoichi Wada actually say something that gets me excited for SE's future?
Hopefully this new engine makes developing AAA jrpgs much easier. That way we can actually get a new Kingdom Hearts Console game this century.(As well as a awesome FF.)
@Patriot
The game was announced years ago. Do you really think a CG trailer would cut it at this point?
Sony knows that the next time they show this game, it has to impress.(Versus is likely in the same boat.)
Besides, the game is obviously facing issues far more serious than most games. Maybe they want to be sure that the game can actually be finished before moving forward with promotion.
Which is fine. Because the worst th...
Interesting conference.
But like the others, it lacked it failed to leave any real impression.
Pikmin 3, looked great though. And they did make the console itself seem refreshing.
The conference just didn't have many games to get excited about though.
I really like what he said here.
But...
Are Sony really in the financial position to be thinking this way?
I'm not saying they should cut corners with the next console. But, Sony really needs this next console to be a hit. And being late/more expensive are the two things that hindered the PS3 most.
Wow. These are some seriously great compliments.
This is some of the highest praise I've seen either developer give.
Well done, ND.
"Did Sony and Microsoft steal Nintendo Wii U's thunder?"
Not really.
While I personally didn't think either conference was too terrible, neither one had anything that would slow down the Wii U's momentum.
There's no litmus that says new hardware HAS to be announced by now.
Would that have made both conferences more interesting? Definitely. But neither company is obligated to show new consoles.
So isn't it a little silly to say they failed purely because of that?
The verdict: A little bit better than Microsoft's. But Not by that much.
It's not that it was a bad show. There just wasn't any surprise factor.
Hopefully, Nintendo really brings something new. Or else this year's convention was kind of dull.
Eh... conference was okay I guess. (Better than last year's IMO).
There idea of trying to connect all your devices is interesting, but probably not what gamers wanna hear.
Ultimately, that's the problem though. MS are ignoring the audience that's most interested in them.
Not trying to start anything but, do YOU realize that this new Tomb Raider looks closer to Uncharted than the ORIGINAL Tomb Raiders ever did?
That whole "Tomb Raider came first" argument doesn't really work. Because the upcoming Tomb Raider game looks nothing like the older ones. (Yet it looks exactly like Uncharted. That kinda says it all.)
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying the game want be good. But, you can't downplay the similar...
"insecure sony fanboy article."
Well, we know this kid didn't read the article. lol!
So now all the kiddies can shut the f@ck up about who copied who.
On topic: The Controller looks great.
Got it. Thanks guys.
Ugh, this list doesn't say what timezones these are for.(Or did I just overlook it?)
And, this is off topic but, does anyone know why Microsoft is always a day ahead of the other 2 console makers?
Wouldn't be more convenient to have the big 3 on day one, and then Ubi/EA on day two?(Or something along those lines.)
Kos-Mos
Well, to be fair, supposedly Sony had been looking into motion controls years before both the Wii and PS3 had been released. (That's probably the reason you got a bajillion disagrees.)
And even if Sony did rip-off Ninty, it's not like Nintendo are 100% original themselves.(What with the Wii U being a glorified tablet for starters.)
I'm not saying PS3 fanboys don't get out of hand sometimes though, just that your exampl...
Isn't this just glorified "he said, she said"?
