But the amount of gamers has also gone up a lot!
So they get a lot more revenue than back in the days.
More expensive?!
Oh, you must be playing on consoles.
I only buy games on Steam, it's like a paradise with all those sales :)
PC GAMING MA...
You hear me coming?!
PC GAMING MAAAAAASTER RAAAAAAAACE :D
WHO CARES?
The 360 only sells well in the US.
We need real horror games.
Only Amnesia: The Dark Descent is good.
You can still play on dedicated servers for FREE on BF3.
What's your point?
Don't kid yourself.
Consoles will never have Free 2 Play titles. It's against the business model of Sony and MS.
It's all on PC if you want Free 2 Play stuff (and there is plenty).
Console gaming will probably die.
- Consoles become more like PC's: more functions, bigger need of patching, they get a HDD drive, etc.
- Games are getting more expensive on that platform while PC games have been the same price for decades. This is because a rather small portion of revenue goes to Sony and MS, not to the devs.
STOP BUYING GAMES AT RELEASE.
It's really that simple.
I buy games 6 months after release and buy them all for 15 to 35 euro on Steam.
One exception: Battlefield 3 because the value is huge there, since it's MP.
It's real, people.
Now, get a grip.
Since the arrival of consoles, games have been made WAY to easy.
The girl from the article should stfu or get out.
Do you complain when you have to study for exams? NO, YOU PRACTICE TILL YOU MEMORISED IT.
My PC games range from 15 to 55 euro. Never higher. :)
Pathetic.
Asking a refund for a game that you spend quite some hours on, but where the last little half hour (= ending) didn't satisfy you?
What's wrong with this gaming generation??
A PC-exclusive Crysis game again. That would be sweet.
@EmperorDalek:
Mouse and keyboard wins all.
There is a reason you use your PC with a mouse, and not with an inaccurate controller.
Looks better than your MGS avatar.
Battlefield > Call of Duty > Medal of Honor.
Back in the days, MoH was good, but their last 2 games were crappy...
So Santa ... IS real.
What a stupid article.
Everyone knows you should only buy games in Steam SALES.
I bought Deus Ex Human Revolution for 15 euros for example.
I agree with the article.
Because I don't have that much time as I want to play games.
But some advantages to me:
- Most games I can buy in a Steam sale for around 30 euros. (Yes, talking about the big budget titles)
- Games receive mods (if supported), and I can play them from the start with mods installed. I can already imagining buying Skyrim and being blown away by how many mods there are now.
