I think we have enough differentiation between Sony and MS:
Sony cares about the core gamers and has lots of exclusives for everyone's taste.
MS has lost track because they put too much effort in Kinect + casual games. They also have too much advertisement shit on their Dashboard.

Their is no super AI in PC titles, because the developers and publishers don't want to invest extra time in PC games. (which is a real shame)
How many devs take advantage of the PC platform? Not many...
Making a new AI system for only 1 platform is probably not worth it from their point of view.
I am a PC gamer, bought a PS3 Slim (my first ever console) for exclusives like Uncharted franchise and Red Dead Redemption.
Now it is collecting dust. Apart from exclusives like Killzone, Uncharted, etc I play all my games on PC.
Steam is a gift from god. So many cheap titles, it's insane. I have about 20 games in my Wish List and as soon as there is a sale, *BAM* buy them for cheap price!
Also, I don't care about the best of the best graphics...
We Europeans have good taste.
You buy a console based on the games it has: PS3 is the clear winner.

I bought my first ever console (PS3 Slim) and I regret it.
The incentives to buy it were Uncharted 2 and Red Dead Redemption. I also bought other exclusives, but I don't have the same enjoyment as on PC, although the game are quality.
