My viewpoint is games. Exclusive or not it doesn't matter to me. I've been gaming since Atari 2600 and owned every major console since including some not so major like the jaguar. I consider myself partially hardcore lol. But from my eyes games are games. So from an Xbox perspective u have their exclusives plus what ever third parties in any given year. That's allot of games. And if you enjoy forza, gears, halo, etc and then enjoy madden, COD, etc that's the point of gaming, e...

Just as I believe the Sony vr will fail so will this if not priced low enough for the masses. Again everything I speak is of my opinion and I don't say these as facts. But I believe the average person looks at vr as the price point is $99 for that technology due to google vr, etc. I believe Scorpio needs priced at no more than $399 or it will fail to move as many consoles as they expect. Anything above that I won't buy one myself.

Why does this matter? Who cares seriously? I'm far from a fanboy for any system. But explain to me how sales figures improved your gaming experience regardless of platform choice. I see these articles all the time and I read the comments with rarely voicing my opinion on the topic. I just don't see the purpose with arguing on here about numbers and percentages. Can you log on to your console of choice and play someone in that game? Is there an online community to enjoy that same share...

Legit questions here. And it goes for both the pro and next years scorpio. Will these systems from jump make all games look and or play better without any patches? If not what is the incentive for companies financially to put any more resources into the game. Is patching them to run better or look better easy on their end? I just dont see why on their end they would really put much more effort. These are not rhetorical questions. Theres more systems out that arent the pro or scorpio for a few...

I think with the ps4p coming out soon it does put a dent in the potential sales of scorpio. Is MS out after it? Of course not, that's ridiculous. But if MS is touting power as a selling point, they need to go bigger than the tf touted and be at the ps4p pricepoint.

I think the way we have perceived console generations is over. There will be new releases at a more constant pace now. Neo/Scorpion is the beginning. Both companies and even Nintendo will have to do the same. Once MS starts releasing a console every 2,3,4 years the others will have to follow suit. Generations as we currently term them are at the beginning of the end. There will be years where MS will be the lead in gfx and then the following year itll be Sony and then it will go back to MS wh...

Obviously this is a flamebaityish article. Can I ask regardless of which console you prefer why do any of you care? Does it really affect you? Unless one or the other goes out of the console business or these sales figures affect the companies mentality of staying in said business, I dont see why anyone cares. Both companies seem to look at the future slightly differently. MS looks to be on an everlasting cycle. Where there really isnt generations per se anymore. Where as Sony looks to stay t...

What people keep failing to understand is that Neo or Scorpio are both this gen and next gen. The idea of generations are over. I view this as MS/Sony just doing what PC gamers have always done, upgrade. More or less thats all these new consoles are going to be is just upgrades. Its very much an oversimplification but its how i see them.

I do genuinely wish thus well and it takes off and flys off tgw shelves. Because it only helps vr as a whole. I just think ita doomwd to fail for

I don't think anyone lost or won. Just because two companies were in competition doesn't mean there ever was going to be a victor. The console war is over. Ps4 vs Xbox one, was the last battle. The two companies are going forward i think with two different strategies. With MS releasing a new upgraded console every three years. Sony staying the course they always have, which has always worked for them. Sony has no need to reinvent the wheel. IMO though most gamers buy the mos...

I want Nintendo to succeed so much but i have so little faith in them anymore. Yes absolutely the NX has to be comparable to atleast the rumored neo specs at minimum. If it doesnt it will absolutely be DOA. Specs and graphic fidelity is a huge point in selling consoles. What would Nintendos third party games look like if its underpowered lets say xmas release schedule 2018?

Whats interesting to me is that nobody noticed that the console war ended, and nobody won. Because regardless of what you support company wise there will always be a company a year or two out from releasing the next monstrous console with X amount of gigaflopz of power. Thus never really having another console to compare it to.

I think the numbers of 2 mil for all three is way low. The attach rate of the 40mil PS4 owners will be higher than 2% alone. Is VR going to be a success? Whats everyone's gauge of success? If its sales volume, its going to fail IMO. Success should measured in there being enough sales to warrant companies continuing building upon VR. My fear is the money wont be there for continuing development and VR becomes a technological fad that just came back in fashion and 20 years from theyll try a...

I hope im wrong. I want it to succeed. What i see happening is the people that buy it, will love it. But the people buying will be very small. 400 for a peripheral is way to high imo. Im no expert but I couldn't see more than 30% of PS owners buying it. I dont see it being a system seller in any facet. I will maybe buy one but not day one. I see it more like DOA. Im pessimistic with the masses buying this.

End of the day, they both sell. How much vs the other almost doesn't matter. The competition itself helps gamers. Neither one is losing, both are here and not going anywhere. Its not as if ps4 sells x amount its over and M$ goes home. Both sell enough and produce enough games for the owners of either console.

I went from partially excited depending on price to it needs to be straight up $99 before I even think about it.
