Priced similarly as a console? I know it was said but it will fail hard. Without millions of early adopters there is no reason for developers to make games. Ill probably buy day one at either, but I still think at 299 its going to flop. It has to be priced to move units to the masses not be a niche product. If it does developers will bail due to the lack of customers to sell a product to. If Sony is really behind this product they need to sell for a loss now and hope to make it up on the backend. Even at 99 im not sure its gong to sell to the masses. It needs to be a huge hit out the door. Almost a 2/1 ps4 to psvr ratio.
Im excited as much as the next guy but it needs to sell and sell big, like wii big. If it doesn't itll just be another kinect. So pricing is huge. I know its ridiculous but imo if it costs more than $99 its not going to sell enough to warrant developer support thus killing it.

Legitimate question here. What is Sony/MS going to do when in like four years the IPAD 6 has comparable graphics to the 4 and One. I ask this because obviously the PS4/X1 are behind graphically already with a top of the line PC. I have already preordered and paid off 3 each PS4's and X1's (selling 2 of each after launch). So im not trolling by any means and I dont game much on PCs. Im not a techie and i wondered if this gen is going to be much shorter than the last.

I do it with every single console release. I personally preordered 6 PS4's. Only 3 at first but demand went up so I did so with my preorders. I also have 4 X1's. If they dont sell worse case i return with full refund. Its free money.

Im personally more of a 360 gamer, own more than 30 games. I also own a PS3 though. Im way more excited about the PS4 the the XB1. I hope hes wrong. Im sorry $299 is your pricepoint IMO. I dont believe the PS4 or XB1 will last as long as previous generations. Technology is moving faster and faster. Computers are going to make these consoles look ridiculously outdated in a very short amount of time. Tablets are getting faster every year. $399 is way too much to ask for now. Console gaming that we have grown up knowing is changing right in front of our eyes.
I liked 2k sports games back in the day but to say that all they do is a roster update is just plain ignorance. I wish 2k would return because football games are the most entertaining to me so another game would just be icing.

I agree with some of what your saying. But saying it looks better than Crysis 3 on Ultra? That might be pushing it. We dont have a final version so it very well could be. From the trailer i seen a game that was still a step down from Battlefield 3 on PC. And that came out in 2011. Im not a PC gamer im just an unbiased gamer. TBH though i wish for KZ to push the fps genre even further graphically and technical wise.

It looks like both consoles are going to be like comparing apples to apples. Both are going to be very similar tech wise. Whats under the hood is going to be basically the same thing from alot of reports. Some reports are saying M$ is upping the RAM to even the field with $ony. Then again alot of the N4G experts are saying on the forums its too late for M$ to do that even though they it last gen. Kaizo, I want this VR as much as the next guy. I could purchase it day one at almost any price point. My issue would be how many actually get sold. Because without it selling out and having the "Wii" crowd behind it I fear it will just be money wasted and support dropping for it in a very short time. It will need more than first party studios behind it to work.
