VR isn't ready yet. Point blank. In order for VR to be a massive success in order for it to truly be the "future", it needs to work and work great and look great from the beginning. There's no luxury of it will get better. It has to be borderline perfect from day 1 or it will be a niche market because mainstream America/world will pass. And once it's a niche market, devs and the publishers will move on. No point in risking money on a small market. As cool as I find the V...
Even at $500 I think this underwhelms substantially. It's going to be compared to PS4P and by then it will more than likely have a price drop itself. I think for it to sell and create that demand it needs to sell at no more than $399. You can't just say it's a premium Xbox 1. If u were selling it in that type of business model, u release the two models simultaneously. So at the beginning of a generation you can choose which one u want. If it's more than $399 I probably won'...
JP, and then the following year it'll be ps5 vs Xwhatever. Then 3 years later it'll be ps5 pro vs that same Xwhatever. Then the cycle continues.
When I've had time, I've enjoyed my experiences on both the X1 and ps4. Just because one is doing well or better does not mean the other had to be doing bad or worse.
Am I wrong here? I can't possibly reply to everyone in this thread. People keep saying what will they do when the ps5 comes out. Well it seems to me around 3 years from next year ms will follow suit and release its "next-gen" console. My expectations are it will release a new console every 6-7 years and a refresh in the middle from now on.
Oh yea for sure. I agree with everything you said. But I fear the switch will be so vastly underpowered that comparing older generations of nintendo consoles is almost apples and oranges. Im not a big FPS guy in the likes of COD/Battlefield but i understand their importance with current consoles. I say this because if Switch gets a watered down version in comparison to the X1/PS4 of the big multi's, the clock will be ticking on the Switch. Nintendo arguably has the best or most beloved fi...
We shall see. Because from my pov(opinion), switch is lacking in the hardware dept. Software can't overcome bad hardware. But this is one of those things where I hope I'm proven wrong.
It's like we share a mind lol
I love GT and forza both. Great games in their own right. I love racing games and the sims. Are u guys really arguing one over the other and using sales numbers as a point of reference? Sales mean zilch except if those sales numbers are because it's a bad game. Which dear god if you're not fanboy knows neither or bad games. Just because u prefer one over the other doesn't mean it is. Just that in your opinion u like that title more. If u prefer one, don't rain on someone else&...
I love Nintendo and as important as art style is from their first party, they need to be at minimum capable of playing third party games better than the XO and PS4. Considering when they are entering at the life cycles of the other two they should be playing third party games with a better fidelity and fps than the other two. Anything less to me than pro/Scorpio specs is failure for home console gaming. I know specs don't always matter and Nintendo has been highly successful but they have...
I don't mind if anyone went all digital but where I live I get decent broadband at about 90 megs a sec but I only 500 gigs a month. And between vue, my kids on YouTube, and multiplayer I've gone over many times and charged like 10 bucks for every 50 gigs. So if they went that route the games could essentially cost me ten bucks more per game.
Apocalypse, I know it will get better with time but vr isn't music. Music is/was mainstream. If there's no money to be made there is no vr being made. And people won't buy it until it's perfect and the costs are much lower. This isn't about first adopters or gamers in a forum like us. I'm speaking on my opinion of the mainstream wii buyers. My parents and family who aren't gamers would probably think it's cool but they wouldn't rush out to buy it. It needs ...
Generations, mid cycle improvements. Does any of it matter? As long as both Sony and MS continue to make the games bc its great for everyone. Then everyone can upgrade when they deem it's worth the cost TO THEM. Plus if the pro and Scorpio are successful we really don't have much of choice because both companies will follow the money.
Haha, I want a successful Nintendo. A successful Nintendo is good for us as gamers. First and foremost I know I'm a graphic whore(yes I know about how the best gfx are on pc). But im always looking for the best gfx on consoles. Gfx is what puts us more into that world. Better hardware will also better that developers art style. Controls are just as important but without that immersion who cares how great in controls.
It's kinda cool but if it's not better than PS4/X1 graphically I'll pass. I love Mario, have since I was a kid and the NES. I was hoping for a traditional console with Nintendos great first party games and something that could also play the mainstream third party games. I was hoping all the things that we were hearing before would turn out wrong. To me it's DOA.
That's great and all but on our end as gamers that's not the most important variable. It needs to sell well not just be profitable for early adopters who r buying. It needs to sell with a high attach rate so the third parties actually invest in it and doesn't turn into Kinect. I hope for mad success but unless it's a massive success I fear third party will sit back and watch first.
Hmmm look another salez article. And yet my personal beliefs that how much something sells is irrelevant to my entertainment experience but also can't stop myself from stopping by the comments to see how much this matters to people of either console. The way I see it it's not newsworthy unless something is NOT selling. Like for example if the PS4/Xbox1 were selling like a WiiU it's newsworthy. Why? Because then I can then deduct that future AAA titles from third party developers a...
Can't use any of the antifog wipes sold everywher?
Who chooses the parameters of "winning"? Sony does. If they say they are winning then in their eyes they are. If the only parameters of the competition is sales, then yes Sony is winning. From my perspective yes they are "winning" but that's based off of typical fanboy criteria. I think gamers as a whole are winning. We have the PS4, the Xbox1 and soon the Nintendo switch. Plus the PC gaming crowd is as strong as it has ever been. Plus we have VR potentially growing be...
