Vista is the Windows ME for this decade. Will most likely see a lot of people hold out now that Windows 7 has been announced. It will be curious to see if MS emphasizes it with touch enabled notebooks seeing how Surface is supposed to be built into it...unless they create another SKU for it...blah.

I'd say that was a pretty accurate list. Although I would have also added Lair for not allowing analog control which probably would have saved the game.
In the article they explain that these are PROTOTYPE pictures. Meaning that they are mock up pictures of their first thoughts. Seldom do final products end up looking like their prototype drawings after going through the development process. As usual you think it is all about you and Sony. Why are you here? Corporations are out to make money and they ALL do what they can to get money from the other. The LITTLE fanboys will argue to what extent their Corp of choice does it but the fact is they are all borrowing from previous tech whether tweaked or not.
All the movies I have seen in the US theatres over the past couple of years all have had BS advertisements shown before the movie. I paid to see the damn thing and still have to sit through it. This crap was started through the movie studios and now MS is just carrying it over into the digital distribution arena. When MS made it's announcement about their multitouch solution all the anti-MS people were crying "MS copies...MS copies", but now Sony does it and all of sudden it's innovative??? LOL!
Anything marked as "release candidate" is pretty much close to the final minus any last minute bug fixes they may find. Once they have made any last minute changes and finalized the service pack should then show up on windows updates. Usually anything that shows up in the windows update list is final unless labeled otherwise. Just a FYI.

Which is why they were probably expecting more from the PC version and thus the harsh review. In the case of the PS3 they probably had lower expectations (being on a console) thus gave it the favorable score after playing it through. The pessimist is never unpleasantly surprised.

Sony isn't the only one in the Blu-ray group. Maybe they need to approach the other studios/hardware makers to see what they think about HDi. If they feel that quicker dev time and feature set make up for the additional royalties then maybe the others would go for it.
The main promotional point for HD-DVD was the features. If the Blu-ray group adopted HDi then HD-DVD would have nothing unique left to offer...most if not all remaining arguments would be moot.
