I wonder if we'll ever see PS2 game demo downloads on the PSS. Sony mentioned that at some point PS2 games would be available for downloading, so it might be possible.
No, Lost Planet is 720. It can be displayed as upscaled 1080p, which is what the "1080p capable" on the back of the box means.
NBA Street apparently can be played as 1080p @ 30fps or 720p @ 60fps, according to the game's site's forum.
After some digging I found some posts on the Street forums suggesting than the 360 version will running 1080p @ 30fps, or 720p @ 60fps. That's great news. If only more games (on both platforms) offered these two options as standard.
Figures the first post would be exactly the thing I was talking about. Read the article. Read my post.
MS's quote of 10 million shipped by end of 2006 is exactly that, shipped. Fanboys were saying "sold" at that time, which is incorrect. All these first-parties mean "shipped", as in "sold into retail channels." Sure, by now they might be 10 million sold, but the figure at end of '06 that people were describing as sold into users' hands was in ...
This will be interesting. If this indeed is to be the first 1080p game for the 360, it's was apparently going to be running at 30fps from all accounts. The 720p PS3 version runs at a "blazing 60fps". Did the reviewers make a mistake? Why didn't they say anything about 1080p? Confusing.
Now, if there is a difference, will the usual fanboys change their tune, switching their long-standing refrain "I'd rather have 720p @ 60fps than 1080p @ 30fps" to "...
Kinda off-topic, don't you think? Please don't feed the flames.
Hopefully this will put to rest the misconception that Microsoft means "sold" rather than "shipped". 10 Mill shipped target was reached, not "sold". All the companies use these numbers. It's harder to gauge actual sales in such a short amount of time due to the complexities of the retail channels.
Yeah, a Sexy Beast. Better than the half-chewed Jelly Nougat look of another console. http://www.vermontcountryst...
Aw, crap. I thought they said "Sybian". Oh well.
Man, their site sucks. Keeps crashing Firefox. Finally found the "review". I was looking at the wrong F1 PS3 entry.
Link above in article here still seems to be broken though. Not sure if it's N4G or CVG.
Haha... I'll give him points for slagging Schumacher though. Best thing about the review.
Sony has been saying these features were in the works since before the launch of the PSX test project. TiVo capabilities, media downloading, etc.
Apparently you're still under the delusion that there are native 1080p games for the 360 out now. There aren't. Despite numerous people correcting you every time you barf that up, you persist. Why?
Upscale <> Native. "1080p support" on the back of a box <> Native.
People like you are a marketer's/advertiser's wet dream.
Nothing but a misleading and presumptuous slant from a site that craves anti-Sony fodder.
Watch your mouth, fool. Not everyone is a pirate. Some people just respect IPs more than others.
Both/all three companies will make you happy if you push them hard enough over the phone. Persistence usually pays off.
No, it was before the settlement. I was told the same thing, that I could return for a replacement, a year earlier but I lived with it (thanks to frequent drive-head cleaning) until it got bad enough.
Considering that the survey doesn't account for the girls' looks, and that they have a huge pool of geeks to draw from, I'm not surprised. ;)
My launch PS2 died after 2 years -- the DREaded Disc-Read-Error problem. After one 15 minute phone call, I sent it back and got a fully repaired unit returned to me in 4 days. For free. Free shipping both ways.
No problem there. Esp. after 2 years. Sounds like good service to me.
Turrican was one of my favourites on the Amiga. I hope they do it.
It's called marketing/advertising, not "arrogant propaganda".
