Stringer: Please STFU.
How could 5 million games have been shipped/sold (not *sold through*)? Well, moron, probably because there's more than ONE game available. Where the fark is your brain? You can't assume only 1 game per PS3. (There may not be more than one great game, but that's another topic altogether.)
Sidenote: If I were you, I wouldn't make an "ASS" joke of someone's name when you call yourself *TheBeginningOfTheEND*. You're just begging for it.
OFCS, enough. Both companies use "shipped" and "sold" interchangeably. Actually Microsoft hides behind it more than Sony, I hate to say. If both companies would just stick to one number and allow the independant agencies deal with actual sold numbers then everyone would be a lot happier.
You can't ship umpteenhundredthousand units in a month and next month say how many were sold. You simply cannot process the data from the thousands of retailers that qui...
Do it, Sony, I dare you. Include a BR copy of Casino Royale with the first 500K PS3s sold. Just suck it up and do it.
Welcome to two days ago?
Don't be upset just because you believed your game was 1080p native. It's okay, we all make mistakes.
There's no news here. There's no source or content anywhere. This is utter garbage.
Why do people keep quoting that site anyway?
PVR functionality has been suggested many times by Sony as a probability, first with the PS2 and even pre-launch. It's not a new idea, or a Microsoft idea, but I'm sure we'll something along those lines for the PS3 in the near future.
It's just displaying at 1080p, it's not natively rendered at 1080p, same with the other "1080p-supported" games.
Links are everywhere, but if you want some info directly from xbox.com, here's one to start with:

LOL. Disagree all you want, but you don't just pop a disc into your PC and run the game directly of your optical drive.
WTF is this, a diary? Did you write that yourself?
The link goes to playb3ond. I don't see the relevance.
Fine, great hardware, now let's see some damn games that are actually created on current devkits, not these half-assed COD-like ports.
Regardless of whichh platform(s)it shows up on, I'd love to see this thing made. I loved the C64 Ghostbusters game. :)
I hate to burst your bubble, but the 360's 10.4 Million "sold" is also synonymous with "shipped", as in sold into the retail channel. Both companies use these terms interchangeably, though MS uses 'sold' more often than Sony's "shipped".
This game will probably remain For Fans Only. It's the Gran Turismo of mech games, and has a fairly high learning curve.
It's great to see that From is going ahead with the 360 version, because the series needs all the support it can get.
It'll be interesting to see how it catches on with the online crowd now that network play is finally here.
Well DUH. The majority of games were never supposed to be in 1080p. That's a high-ground for the rare ones than can translate to such an intensive mode.
"What's that? Kojima needs 50gb for "textures"? Check out the new Crysis CES videos at www.gametrailers.com and see what they are doing with only a "crappy" dvd as storage. "
--------
That's an entirely invalid comparison. PC games use DVDs as a pre-installation delivery system that requires a not insubstantial investment in terms of time and storage space.
Minor caching aside, console games still rely almost exclusively on disc a...
I hope that 24" has 1:1 pixel mapping, otherwise it's as useless as the similar offerings from BenQ that a lot of PS3 owners (then pre-owners) were looking forward to.
At least it has HDMI. I'd expect if it was also being touted as a media monitor too that it must have 1:1 mapping.
Fanboy logic: If there are no PS3s in the stores, Sony "are liers!1!". If there are PS3s in stores, Sony "are liers!1!".
Lame.
Well then that's pretty much in line with an average 25% reader comprehension of fanboys who can't think for themselves.
