The game is Less than a month away, if you think a ton of optimization is going to be done before release you are crazy. Just start hoping for a patch now.
Or use Amazon prime / best buy gamers club and get the full game for 47$ after tax
But its not, Steam is a platform for selling games sure, but I can go to numerous other sites and buy the same game, maybe even cheaper and still play on steam. By only having it in Microsoft store, there will be one set price and microsoft will control it.
I'll probably pick this up now that it is on pc, not really get away but once it is cheaper and my backlog not as bad. don't have x1 and won't pick it up, it's a good move by MS but I see where fans could feel mislead.
And no one cared
Loving the game! Just feels perfectly balanced and I'm loving the time restraint on some missions, gives it a great sense of urgency. Firaxis needs to do some more optimization. I have a 970, i5 overclocked and 8gb of ram. Turned down some of the resource hogging settings and still getting stutters and frame drops.

I have, although not much since I got it. Will be a lot more now with xcom 2 out. It's a pretty solid controller, the trackpad on the right tales some getting used to. But the controller lets you map every button and gives you a load of settings to mess with to get your perfect controller. Just takes some time and patience to find what works for you.
Did we just go back in time?
That's like saying with Football season set to end this weekend, will people still watch hockey?
Cd keys has the standard game for 37$ and deluxe for 56$ for another option.
I think so, thats how i remember the first one working, but i may be wrong.
So pumped for this!
Hmmmmm yet people wonder why companies are turning to Denuvo DRM
Will be a fun bargain bin pickup
I love how so many people are trying to justify pirating and stealing a game. You guys brought this on your selves.
Not worth it, not even close. You will find similar savings in time using a hybrid drive, while saving a lot of cash compared to an SSD.
Also super excited for Xcom 2! This list gave me some games to look up, haven't heard of a lot of them.
Why do people take 3 clips to drop in the latest release? What's the point of playing "tactical" if you just have to sit there unloading clips to kill someone?
No doubt it will be the best version, but looking at the recommended specs tells me that the vast majority of PC gamers will not be maxing this out. I'd be interested in comparison of ps4 vs med settings on pc as that is going be what the majority will be at.
