It's not up to them to say what they were working on, all that has to be approved by Sony. As devs depart, I'm willing to bet what happened will leak out. We will find out if they were mandated to do a GaaS or if it was their idea. But to act like there isn't a single game in Sony backlog that could be remade is disingenuous.
There are loads of ps1/Ps2 games that could be remade. If they wouldn't have been forced to do a GaaS title I'm sure we would have got another remake of something else.

Same, I built a pc for the game (I was overdue as well playing on 10 year old hardware) but it was just a chore and not fun to play. Also only Bethesda game I havent finished.

The only people I agree with in all this are the people that bought in countries that can't get psn accounts. Everyone else either missed the requirement which was their fault or is trying to drum up drama.

Oh yeah. The guy that bought a social site and removed the ability to even see posts without having account, is going to create an OS that allows people to use it without signing up?
The devs have said at this point it's not a server issue any longer. It's their code doesn't scale well with the huge amount of concurrent players.
