If the movie industry can get away with prices not changing after how many years there is no reason gaming prices should increase. Developers and publishers need to start trimming the fat and realise what they are over spending on. If a game like the Witcher 3 can be made with 40$ (another 40 was spent on advertising) there is no reason other games less in scope/length should cost so much more.
Pre orders (for the most part) don't hurt the consumer at all either. But can pre order at best buy or Amazon and they don't take any of my money until the game ships. I can cancel at anytime. This isn't giving publishers any money before a game launches. I pre order because I want release date shipping. Maybe I don't want to drive to my nearest store to pick up a game. Or maybe I'm working all day and the last thing I want is to have to stop somewhere on the way home. Pr...
Well that's promising
the game isnt coming this year at all. not till 2017
I'm actually excited to have episodes on this game. Gives me a little time to play when it comes out, then I can shelve it for awhile. Still catching up on my backlog and looking forward to some other releases coming g up.
Or you can upgrade to the full edition for 50$ after getting the first episode. If you are sold on goods thing every episode and you have GCU or Amazon Prime you are better off just buying the full game.
So 75$ if you buy per episode or if you have Gamers club unlocked or Amazon prime you could get the full game for 47$.
Actions speak louder than words
I really wanted this game to be great. I love the art work and the basis for the story. I put in a lot of time through the first couple of expansions (thanks to having a blast with friends). I agree that Bungie are really going to have to show something amazing to get people interested again.
Why must every game let you play with your friends? Isn't it a cool idea that you are exploring unknown worlds and maybe, just maybe, might find someone else doing what you are doing?
I'm very intrigued, I think I will wait a month or so after release. I'm town between getting this on ps4 or if the mod community really takes off that could sell it for me on pc.
I got the Killzone 2 trophy back in the day. It was the last thing I needed for my platinum. I had missed the cut off for it the week before by a couple thousand. The week I got it, I sold the game as I couldn't stand to play it anymore.
Xbox to become the Windows Store version of Steam machines. Multiple Xbox skus offering different levels of power (better gpu, processor, ram) that's my prediction anyway.
Years and years after the pc. Wasn't anything close to a simultaneous release.
It's not the at they are rushing if they don't cater to the "hardcore" it's that there is little demand. Spending months balancing some options that few people will ever use will never happen. It would be a waste of money and time. It's better if games like the Souls series are just built for the hardcore from the ground up.
I'm sure it comes down to time. They would have to balance where health kits are, where the save points get placed. All this is added development time. And how many gamers would actually Make the game more challenging? Judging by the percentage of gamers who get "complete game on hard" trophies, not many
Amazing, I think its safe to say the delays will be worth it!
I have to disagree with you. While there are mods that make some stuff better. The game is great as is without mods! I think a console release is coming but my guess is it will come after all the dlc is released and will ship as a GOTY edition or something along those lines sometime next year.
I'm going g to bookmark this because I guarantee when Apple announces the next iPhone with a 2 or 4k resolution, it will be heralded ad the best innovation in phones.
Don't everyone forget that it's not just the ps4. There will be an additional processing unit that will provide extra grunt power.
