You speak truth, that's why so many 360 exclusive 3rd party titles like TOV, NG2, Bioshock 2, Dead rising 2 etc., are now going multi-platform.
If I was a dev, I wouldn't want to be known for casual games, unless that's the market I'm aiming for. The problem with what this dev has said is that they've pretty much done nothing but casual games:

Multi-platform games these days have microscopic differences that don't really matter as long as gameplay isn't affected. Afterall, multi-platform games are meant to be the "same" on all systems.
I'm more concerned with the fact that Id had to make fundamental changes to the Rage game; multiple sand dunes switched to 2 large dunes and changes to the number of playable races, in order for the game to fit 2 DVD's for the 360.
They're reaching if they think core gamers are going to buy/respect a game like Rabbids Go Home. I play Rabbids with my nieces all the time and they represent the casual gamers that bought the Wii solely for casual gaming. Why should the developer of Rabbids even care for acknowledgement from core gamers, they're making buckets loaded with money on the Wii with their casual games.

SO4 helped 360 for 2 weeks and it doesn't look like NA sales were that spectacular too. None of the games you mentioned, even Halo wars, are real game changers or hardware shifters.

DLC hasn't helped 360 outsell the PS3 by a huge margin for multiplatform games like Fallout 3, GTA4 etc. In fact attach rates are generally in favor of the PS3 for most multi-platform titles, Look at recent titles like RE5 and SF4.

MS has lost 1.1 billion due to RROD, prior to actually fixing and refurbishing 360's affected by it (isn't it nice E74 is now covered as well?). Exactly how much software sales do you think it'll take to recoup those losses that MS swept under the fiscal rug in late 2007?
Yeah, I'm sure Sony is just crying over selling practically 1:1 with the 360 for GTA4, while having a better attach rate. Sony must be in complete agony about getting a exclusive roc...

How is throwing 50 million dollars towards GTA DLC more sensible than giving that money to Assemble or MS flight sim studio to stay afloat?
Please enlighten me with a good explanation for why MS is losing studios and re-structuring companies like Rare, while they frivolously throw money towards DLC and timed exclusives (TOV, NG2, Bioshock 2, Dead Rising 2, LP2 etc.)?
Sony also gets an exclusive rockstar game due to their compromise with letting GTA4 go multi-platform.

Yet multi-platform day 1 sales of games like SF4, RE5, Fallout 3, GTA4 etc., negate what you have to say. None of us wants hand-me downs a year after they've been out, especially when Sony has great 1st party titles coming out in the same time span.

Too Human took how many years again, 10 years from start to finish if I believe. Even some MS exclusives are coming more frequently, none of them are far and above titles by Sony. Did you take note of the fact R1 came at launch with R2 coming less than 2 years after, how about motorstorm that also had it's sequel about 2 years after? Heavenly Sword, Warhawk, Folklore, Singstar and Eye of Judgement also came within the 1st year and a half, so don't give me this B...

Are you serious, with regards to the Sony fanboy comments? Were you not here on N4G for 2006 and 2007 when 360 fanboys kept flaunting exclusive 360 titles, jumped on every multi-platform game being superior on the 360 (even now with the microscopic visual comments making the 360 superior), or the delaystation comments?

Sure it's hypocrisy, were you not here on N4G when all the delaystation comments were made? Yet now MS is telling us to "wait", it's suddenly okay to have to "wait" for them to announce some exclusives? Should we now call MS's console "wait-box" 360?
I'd wait and see about halo ODST for two reasons. Halo wars sold okay but didn't sell phenomenal and secondly, I don't remember the Halo expansion for the xbox1 selling great.

It's quite hypocritical how some 360 fanboys say to wait until E3 for games to be announced, considering all the "delaystation" comments made towards the PS3 in 2006 and 2007. All the talk I hear nowadays is about Halo ODST. It's a title that should do quite well, but it's by no means a trump card for the 360 considering Sony has GT which has sold more than halo and gear combines. If anything, GT5 releasing in 2010 already means Sony has a sure hit for the new year.

I wouldn't go so far as to say the PSP is failing, rather it's coming in a distant 2nd to the NDS. It's done pretty well, considering it's taken between a 1/3 and 1/4 of the portable market away from Nintendo.
I think the PSP2 may have considerably longer legs with regards to sales, considering what gen X to Z want nowadays with their technologically advanced phones, mp3 etc. I think the next Nintendo portable will recognize the need to do more, like how the new DSi can tak...

I guess it depends on how you look at it, b/c I think games like Kameo (which I've played), Perfect dark zero, Banjo Kazooie, and Lips etc. aren't exactly noteable 360 exclusives; especially when the 360 is losing more relevant titles like Lost Planet 2, Bioshock, NG2 and Dead rising etc.
I'm not sure if 2010 will be the year of the 360, even with ME2. The PS3 looks to have MAG, GOW3 and GT5 for next year. I'd wait and see a full list from both sides, or better yet, wait until 2010 to see the actual titles from both before deciding whose year it'll be. It could be the Year if the Wii for all we know.
Sony could announce nothing new at E3 and I would still be satisfied with the titles they've already announced (^_^). I can always depend on Sony to dish out some great 1st party titles that I'll be interested in.
These sales can be summed up in 3 lines:
MS: We still maintain a lead over the PS3
Sony: We're staying on par with the 360, even though it's 1/2 the cost.
Nintendo: "Wii" are the winners this gen ("We are the champions" song plays in background)

Two weeks sales was negated in how many days by the Wii and PS3? By the end of this year, PS3 will be at 4 million while 360 will be barely over a million, while both will still trail the Wii. It's pointless talking about 360 in Japan, same goes for PS3 and Wii, seeing as PSP and DSi hand consoles their asses every week.
If your really going to go the sales route, why not look at how many times the Wii has outsold the 360 in NA?
