That might have been a good marketing tag line back in 2008, but it's a shame the Call of Duty franchise has now become stale.
"Playstation 4 the home of Destiny..." sounds alot more... relevant to today.
The reason Sony are releasing a White PS4 Destiny bundle is because they know Destiny is going to push PS4 sales. The same is true for The LAst Of Us Remaster Bunlde. Sony know that that will push PS4 sales.
Who was it that said, "the first console to reach 10 million will dominate the generation..."?
Well I guess by the Christmas Holidays the PS4 would have reached 10million units sold. A very good achievement indeed. I wonder if there has been a console that has reached 10million sales within the first year? It might be a new world record o.0
I've been saying that from the start. Everyone obviously focused on Dinklage because he's famous, but the Crucible announcer was way way waaaay more annoying, and flat.
Yeah these guys should give Sony a call, they love games like this on the Vita.
I play on both PC and consoles, I started as a PC gamer way back when. But I just couldn't keep up with upgrading graphics cards and motherboards every 6 - 12 months, or whatever it was back then. Now I 'm going back a few years now (maybe a decade even :) that was what really swayed me as well as the constant driver updates and incompatibility issues I kept having, when trying to run my favourite games.
I still game on my PC, but the fact that it is a 7 year old mach...
The problem with the price is that it can't really be the that close to the same price as a PS4; if it is being sold as an accessory to the PS4. So a price of say 299, for me would be too high. Unless it is being sold as a stand alone device. But that's just me.
Between this bundle and the Destiny Bundle, Sony are hoping to entice more people into the Playstation Nation. I know that Sony had a GTA V bundle for the PS3, I bet they make one for the PS4 as well.
Exactly my first thought.
Sony are going to have a real challenge pricing this for the consumer. The PS4 is currently selling like hot cakes because it is priced right.
On the other hand Sony don't want to release Morpheuse if it is less powerful than the Occulus Rift.
Tough choices.
I can't wait to know what Sony Santa monica are working on.
The Last of Us won more Game of The Year Awards than GTA V.
The VGX (which absolutely no one take serously) was just one of the many sites handing out GOTY awards.
The vast majority of the gaming press gave TLOU the Game of The year Award. Over 200 GOTY awards - in case you were wondering.
You can verify this Fact for yourself.
New games are free to lead the way, no one is stopping them. They just have to make damn sure that they are all better than The Last of Us. If not,the jokes on them.
As I said above (and in another thread)

"...Half Life 2 won Game of the Year in two separate years. First, in 2004 when it was first released, and again in 2008 as part of The Orange Box."
If Half Life 2 can do it...
That either says alot about TLOU, or it says alot about how fanboys feel about TLOU.
Fun fact: Half Life 2 won Game of the Year in two separate years. First, in 2004 when it was first released, and again in 2008 as part of The Orange Box.
I think it IS the most important game release this year.
2 reasons why.
1) Can a last gen game (PS3), surpass current gen games (PS4)?
2) Can a game win GOTY for 2 years in a row?
The gaming industry has to face upto these two questions. The answer will have ramification for years to come :)
Man this looks phenomenal, ND should look to include something like this for a Collectors Edition. I'd be all over it in a heartbeat.
@Jeeves
I agree with you to a point. Some games - minecraft for example, you don't really play it to the end, so you can review it without finishing it. Multiplayer games like Call of Duty, again there really is no 'end', so you can review it without finishing the game. You raise good points.
However, the author lists TLOU as the number 1 most overrated game. TLOU of very heavily a story based game. One in which the end of that story gives massive...
@admiralvic,
I get where you are coming from. I honestly do. But you are overlooking what I'm pointing to. Now follow my line of thinking for a few seconds here...
What if the game IS the best gaming experience released for the PS4 this year (it may not be, but what if...) It's a big 'what if', and not everyone will agree anyway about the best gaming experience, but allow me to follow my train of thought to it's conclusion.
Yup, In October my wallet is going to cry :(
