most matches dont even allow tanks (thanks to the custom lobbies). and hawks are far from invincible. every element is balanced out by other elements, it is simply about having the aptitude to use...
most of the best games on the DS did not even need the touch screen. like mario 64, mario kart, FFIV, animal crossing, and so on.
secondly, virtually none of the Playstation or Xbox fans are clamoring for a touch screen. it is utterly pointless for their hardcore games. does uncharted, halo, or god of war really need a touch screen?
and putting the HUD on the controller is not the best idea. do you really want to be constantly looking down at your controller ...
hopefully nintendo will release some kind of optional controller that doesnt have the touch screen and is some sort of replica of the PS3 or xbox controllers. then I might get a wii u
