I am a huge fan of playstation and the uncharted franchise, but that is way too expensive. you could get both the games used for around 25$ or less.
the wii u is really capitalizing on multiplats. which would be fine and dandy if they actually looked better than current gen versions. but since they dont, its rather pointless really.
pikmin isnt exactly a killer app, and zombiu will probably be a letdown (being bogged down with its gimmicks). the "new super mario bros" franchise is really tired at this point and dominated by the superior LBP games.

Farcry 3, borderlands 2, and bioshock infinite wont sell as much, but will be infinitely superior FPS games to Halo and COD. I dont see how anyone can deny that, unless they are just drooling thirteen year old fanboys.

a pretty good review. its a lot more sensible and in-depth than those 2 moronic french sites who reviewed it a few weeks ago. I noticed that they are no longer up on N4G. probably because no one agreed with their asinine opinions (comparing R&C to yearly sports game updates), ignorance of the franchise's history, and blatant fanboyism.
you know, most men in general action/adventure games are portrayed stereotypically as well, falling into rigid male archetypes. for example, in the ninja gaiden games, yes the women are vapid and two dimensional as hell, but so are all the male characters. those games, for better or worse, are just about chopping off heads
when it comes to games that legitimately want to put forward a compelling narrative and take themselves seriously like heavy rain, witcher 2, bioware games...
roku box is cheaper. but between the ps3 and xbox, its obvious to pick the one that doesnt have a yearly $60 fee. its common sense. netflix is works perfectly on both of them, so why pick the needlessly expensive one?
the kinect, move, and wiimote are not innovation. they are gimmicks. they have contributed nothing to making games more convenient, or furthering gaming as an artform.

im really starting to worry about next gen and the state of console gaming. the amount of casual pandering going on with nintendo and MS has clearly detracted from their potential tech advancement. and sony will be pressured into cheapening their next gen console as well. next gen is not looking that good for us hardcore gamers
there are much, much, much worse sites. I dont know why people call IGN biased when it is one of the most moderate sites when it comes to scoring games of all platforms around the metascore.
Dont get me wrong, I disagree with many of their individual reviews, but they arent massively biased fuckwits like Edge or Metrogame Central. and they dont write blatant shock reviews like destructoid or the two i mentioned above.
i am predicting more kinect crap being pumped out from the beginning of next gen, along with the continued milkage of halo, forza, and gears.
its my GOTY so far but i doubt many sites will give it the award, because of the shitstorm that would occur if it beat GTAV or mass effect 3.
GOTY awards are often more heavily influenced by name recognizably and popularity, rather than actual quality and innovation.
