I think it's rather a UK problem. Multi platform games usually costs the same in Sweden at least (with exception of DMC4).
...PS3 and 360 version costs the same. A shame UK stores can't do the same.
...HDR makes Alyx take her cloths of and grow a creepy face.
That's just awful. Valve showed us women in games doesn't have to be sex objects and these guys just had to be jerks and destroy it. >:(
If the player supports firmware upgrading via disc.
Oh! The eighties. \o/
But it stands out from the crowd. And that's what a commercial have to do today to reach to the audience. We are force feed with commercials every day and all commercials are becoming just a gray mas. Everything looking the same. No one takes notice of an ordinary commercial today. You need to be radical and different to be noticed.
Why would SCEE care about what "hits" on the American market when making a commercial for Europe?
The people here think just because they have seen a picture once in there life they are suddenly Photoshop experts.
Come on! I have done a fair deal of working in Photosop and I for sure wouldn't dream of claiming the one or the other about these pictures.
Just wait till the games is out, then judge it.
Now bring those disagrees on!
If this happened to me I would have laughed my ass of (ba-dum-pish) and then hosted the picture to a separate domain.
It takes years for this kind of techniques to reach the consumer market and they go through several iterations on the way. The first prototypes leading to the format we today know as Blu-Ray where revealed in 2000 (and the research had probably begun a couple of years before).
This is merely a tech demo for future products. Don't expect to see this in the market soon.
Couldn't agree more.
The attitude the article writer has against female gamers is just appalling.
This will hardly attract more female gamers.
The main reason I prefer Firefox is the huge library of plugins. Won't change to IE any time soon.
Probably not as much. If there where no way to pirate Windows more users would turn to Linux based systems and with larger install base the Linux community would grow leading to more user friendly Linux systems and a greater knowledge among users how to use Linux (most people tend to stick to Windows not because it's better, but because they are familiar with it).
This would also make the ones mostly paying for Windows (companies) starting to use Linux as well.
Take a look ...
This work around has been out for ages.
BD-Live maybe? I sure hope so at least.
Just because they ported CryENGINE2 to console doesn't mean that Crysis the game (as in the game released for pc that is) will be released on console. Crysis the franchise on the other hand is another story.
I rather think there plan is to make an engine they can license. FarCry was just a techdemo for CryENGINE an Crysis felt like the same for CryENGINE2.
Crysis installed on a PC takes 12 GB.
Since the smallest drive size for PS3 ever been sold is 20 GB you don't want to spend 12 GB on an installation. The only reasonable way to go is to put it uncompressed or slightly compressed on a disc and read the data when needed.
Actually a DL DVD is 8.5 GB. This is due to the outer most layer can't contain as much data because because it has to be "see thorough".
Not that it makes much of a different. Just wanted to straighten the facts out.
"Lol, Guys are portrayed as sex objects just as much as Women."
Two wrongs don't make a right.
EDIT: Damn, forgot to push the replay link.
