It's published by SCEA so they can very well decide when it should be released.

Well that's still on the upper part of the scale. =)
Seriously tho. It seams the rating systems has had a little inflation the last couple of months.. Now days people only see a game as good if it's over 8.5. When did this happen? The scale is supposed to be linear.

"PSU.com contacted Rob Yescombe..."
How can it be damage control if PSU are the one searching up the developers for a comment. Rob only answered the question.

At least these guys have a sense of humor.

Agree! I liked the demo. Wasn't a this-is-the-best-thing-I-ever- played-moment but it was entertaining.

It's a Google translation. That's probably why the English sucks.
I couldn't agree with you more on the rest of your post (fellow swede).
I'll pick this up anyway. I liked the demo alot. Rarely listens to reviews.

Reasoning like that I could claim that Unreal and UT3 uses the same engine. The Unreal 3 engine is just an upgraded version of the Unreal Engine.

@JBaby343: Bubble for the explanation.

@the disagreers: Explain why you disagree. Put up or shut up!

Get used to it. It's the future for consoles.

Not really. Resistance used the "Insomniac Engine v.1.0", Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction used the "Insomniac Engine v.2.0" and Resistance 2 is supposed to use an enhanced version of the Ratchet engine (Insomniac Engine v.3.0 maybe?).

Oh come on! You pop in the disc, the installation is commenced automatically (just takes a little longer to start the game the first time) and it's done. It's not harder to do than start a game without an installation. It's not comparable to the install procedure on a PC. This is just lame.

<joke>That's because only grownup and mature people can afford a PS3.</joke>

Seriously tho. I can't say anything about the Xbox-players but the PS3-players is annoying enough to deserve a mute.

This is the reason I mute voice chat.

Well they used it. That doesn't mean you should consider the swastika a nazi symbol. Ok a black one in a white circle on a red background might be but the swastika it self shouldn't be considered a nazi symbol. Otherwise I could claim the Christian cross to be a symbol of evil that should be baned due to all evil deeds done in the name of Christianity (like crusades, crucifixions, oppression and so on).

I think the worst part here is that the word gay has suddenly become a smear word. It's like claiming the swastika to be a nazi symbol. Yes I know a lot of people do but they really need to get their facts straight.

I don't know about you but I found this interesting.
As you probably know Mirror's Edge uses the Unreal Engine, however they are also using a third party lightning system named Beäst developed by Illuminate Labs.
But this isn't the most interesting part. Taking a look at their page apparently a lot of big titles uses their earlier engine (Turtle). Among the noteworthy we find Gran Turismo, Killzone 2 and Mass Effect.
Take a look at their gallery:

"Follow the yellow line to Roman's warehouse."
I giggled.
