I know six or seven friends who have had their PS3 Blu Ray drive fail. It would no longer read disks for them. They had to bring them back to the shop and get a new one under warranty. This is in Europe so some of them were 60gb versions that failed and when they brought them back to the store they were given a 40gb + €100 to make up for the difference. That or you would have to wait for Sony to fix it. I know if my 60gb version fails I'll be sending it to Sony because I want to keep the BC f...
Well the PS3 patch has been delayed too. Sony returned it back to IW to fix some stuff so it'll be February sometime at the earliest before it gets out now. It's amazing how such a great game in single player has one of the worst online experiences in multiplayer. Multiplayer is great went it works, and I know people in the US can get join games relatively fast, but I know alot of people here in the EU that still have to wait 20 - 30 minutes to get into a Lobby and then once it starts "H...
It even brings the meaning back into Blu Movies :)
One way to save it from crapness would be to keep Infinity Ward as far away from the online mutliplayer development as they can possibly get after what they done to it on the PS3. 2 Months on after release and it's still messed up.
What he's saying is you don't use Linux to run the game. The games are hosted on a PC running Windows/Direct X which are then streamed to other machines. What they have done is created a plugin that allows a player using Linux to receive the stream from a Windows box. So you can just install this plugin on a PS3 running linux to receive the stream and play.
What I'd like to know is why are studio's still giving this guy money to direct terrible movies
Well said Gravitons, for all we know someone at motorola could have very well lost their job over something like this because of third party immaturity and unprofessionalism
yeah, hopefully they'll be banned for life. Time is precious at these events, the last thing companies showing off their latest products need at this event is gizmonkey children disrupting their displays.
They shouldn't bother releasing another firmware update unless it includes In-game Messaging. Otherwise the backlash from the PS3 kids will be astronomical demanding to know why it's not in it.
Fergie!?!...WTF?
The placement of the L2 and R2 buttons looks more practical than the offical pad. Not sure how ergonomic the wings of the pad look though, seemed a bit flat to me.
lol, what a piece of garbage.
Well there was rumour of a demo coming last year from the Sony Spanish website, so I would say chances would be good.
But UT3 and Haze are two very different games. UT3 is an adrenaline rush fast paced game with crazy weapons, where as haze seems to be more along the lines of a COD4 type of FPS. I can't think of any games I want for the PS3 in the next two months so I may just pick this up as COD4 have given me nothing but problems online and UT3 is too laggy online for me righ...
No problem, Thanks for the update.
What has this got to do with HD movies on the Xbox live marketplace?
Last time I checked the PSN Store on my PS3 it doesn't offer movies for download...
Monday December 7th 2008, N4G is always good for the future news.
You have the option to Invite your friend into the same game as you (as long as it's not full) or visa Versa.
You can also start a game with your friend using a Party Invite built into the game.
But I should say when this actually works (in COD4). Another problem is the invites. I can't speak for everyone but 90% of my invites results in "Unable to connect to host" error messages or "Invalid Game Session"
no, not all PS3 games are like this. COD4 online matchmaking is pretty crap to be honest. You can't apply any filters other than the game type you want to play.
Warhawk gives you a full server listing, showing you how many people are in a game, its ping and what map is running.
Unreal Tournament 3 is the same.
COD4 really needs improvements in the online section to choose what host you'd like to join or what map you want to play on. Instead it's ju...
I think for once mesh speaks the truth. Usually I dismiss every one of his comments but COD4 online for the PS3 is nothing short of a joke. All you have to do is look at the PS3 forum at infinityward.com and you'll see hundreds of people almost ready to shoot one another over the problems.
ummm, a USB extension cable anyone...
