But Halo had aliens in it and was about trying to save the planet...This is about rebels fighting back against a private military company in a war between the two. You start off fighting against the rebels and then switch sides to fight with the rebels. So how is this a halo clone again?
Even though I'll be getting this game I can see it receiving alot of 8's and 7's, maybe the odd low 9. If it has some solid 8's though it should be good. I think it will only manage 9's if it does something really new that will make you go "wow, I never done this before". +1 for 4-player coop play though, that should be fun.
Is it hyped though? I hardly see any promotion or web adverts about this game. The only info I find on this game is here at n4g. And most of the previews I've come across seem to all be reserving judgement until the final release hoping whatever issues they had would be sorted.
Doesn't this exact same process happen for 360 and PS3 games that have patches too...
As soon as consoles started releasing patches for games they went the way of PC. Wasn't the Xbox 1 the one to start it all.
Then the solution is simple, Don't install. He said in the post it's not mandatory. And even if you do install and find it's not worth it, just delete the install like he also said you could.
"Blacksite, assassin's creed, need for speed prostreet, and now kane and lynch are all getting mediocre scores."
Maybe all these games are mediocre. All games can't be great. Personally for me, if a game gets above 7 it's worth playing.
Gold plated HDMI cables are such a waste of money and a scam
With digital its 0's and 1's, it either works or it doesn't. Theres no variables in between. Talk about selling sand to the Arabs. If a HDMI cable was coated in all the gold from Fort Knox it would still do the same job as a standard HDMI cable
Jade Raymond is going to become a distant memory...
It also means we don't have to turn on the PC to watch a movie anymore if the PS3 will play it natively
This is awesome. So long xbox (xmbc)
Or that the original rumour to begin with is false ;)
It's only released in Japan this year. Europe will get it last like everything else.

"“Well, the PlayStation 3 is a funny thing sometimes. I mean, we’ve put in this keyboard and mouse support but I don’t honestly think it’ll get used all that much. Who uses a keyboard and mouse to play on a console? You’d just use the PC version, right? It’s cool because it’s there if you want it, but I don’t think many people do.”"
I think it will be the opposite. Most people I know are getting this game on PS3 because it supports Keyboard/Mouse.
No a controller is inferior and that's what makes it harder.
I can give you a number of reasons why people would want to use a keyboard/mouse on a console.
Consoles are cheaper than high end gaming PC's and if more console games supported them you would have alot of PC gamers opting for the console instead of the PC which in turn would attract alot of new gamers to the console.
It would create a much more competitive online community also as you wo...
Keyboard and Mouse in this game is the reason I got a PS3 instead of upgrading my PC. It was either spend €500 on a 60gb PS3 or probably €1500 on a new PC
Well there's supposed to be a demo at the end of next week (Nov 16). Who knows if that's still happening.
As for the Nectar, I see this working the same sort of way as Slo Mo does in F.E.A.R. It's sort of the same principle.
I see what you mean. This isn't the first time I've seen video of 4 player split screen but one of the guys from FRD said over on the Ubisoft Haze forum that it would only be 2 player split screen but a total of 4 if 2 PS3's were used.
We pay nearly the equivalent of that here in Europe for a normal release :D
You mean insert game disc and play, yeah I know, really difficult /sarcasm
