The Delay sort of killed the hype around the launch of this game. It's not out here in Europe until next week. My Pre-order says it's not out until the 5th November.
Good points, but there are some things that did affect the quality of COD3. They were Treyarch only had 8 months to develop that game and within that time it also had to be developed for 4 consoles (PS2, Wii, PS3 and Xbox 360).
With WaW they've had alot more time to develop the game and with the added COOP and Zombie modes added I'm sure it will make for a good multiplayer game.
It may still be COD4 underneath but the fact is alot of people really like COD4 but h...
yeah, but I'm sure there's contracts in place when they do this that they own IP to the DLC if they are paying for it or something along this line.
This is really sad :(
I had the game pre-ordered and was looking forward to it next week.
I wonder what happens to the people who already managed to acquire it.
Sony are going to take quite a hit on this. Imagine all the pressed Blu-Ray discs they are having to recall right now. It's bound to put a bit of a dent in the profits of the game. I'm sure several hundred thousand discs would have been pressed at this stage.
We must be playing at different times because I don't find it very different on the PS3 either. Still the same jerks mouthing off and the pre-pube kiddies screaming. There's is some advantage in that not everyone has a headset unlike the xbox 360.
It tells you how long your friends have been offline.
Thankfully this game isn't out around the Holiday Season. I don't think I could afford any more games or get the time to play them with all that's coming this month and next. LBP, Resistance 2, COD5, Fallout 3 and then others like Far Cry 2 and the new Tomb Raider game.
x360 has Gears of War 2, Fable 2 (looks awesome) and platformer Banjo Nuts and Bolts plus the multi plat ones mentioned about. I don't have a 360 but I really want Fable 2.
"Other Contenders

Mario Galaxy"
Wasn't Mario Galaxy out last year.
It's hard to say. I know several friends with PS3's who I would consider hardcore gamers and they said they weren't buying this game because it was too cutsie/kiddie for them and didn't think they would have the time to make levels. They are more into Racing and FPS type games.
I have it preordered myself and I enjoyed the beta, plus I'm thinking of getting this for my g/f so that it can be something to play together.
No, Ico was released in 2001, Shadow was released in 2005.
This site reaches new lows every day.
Great game yes but submitting a review for a 3 year old game is just sad.
I agree Jolly.
this guy has completely ruined the Gamerzone. Could someone at N4G please ban his IP. He has at least half a dozen accounts here. He was known as Shmee before nasim. and now he has Mart, Mart_at_xboxkings and who knows how many others.
Zack & Wiki is Capcom I believe. I still haven't tried that one yet, like others my wii has been gathering dust for far too long.
I don't think this game was always meant for 360 and PS3. They didn't even exist when they started this title. When I bought Duke 3D back in '96 the CD it came on actually had screenshots of Duke Nukem Forever on it as bonus material, so I would say this game was always meant for PC at the very least.
If it's not released for PC then it'll be a kick in the teeth to all the PC fans that stuck with 3D Realms until now.
storage != shortage
I would imagine he spends at least 1 whole day giving interviews to mutlitple news sources. Just like how musicians, actors, directors etc give several hours of interview in one go to mutliple news sources when they are releasing new material.
"The N64 controller was the worse controller ever though."
You've gotta be kidding. The N64 controller is what brought us the analogue stick and force feedback.
Sorry but there's a difference between a beta and a demo. Beta's aren't meant for deciding if someone will buy the game before it's released. They are specifically released to stress test online servers, online play or to catch any bugs prior to when it hits the global population.
But an Single/Multi player demo along the lines of BF:BC like you mentioned would certainly be welcome, but there's a big difference between a public demo and a closed beta.
Remember what happened when IW didn't use the PS3 for a COD4 beta? People in Europe had to wait 2 months for a patch so the game didn't spend 20 minutes trying to connect to a game lobby. I wish Treyarch would do a beta on the PS3 so we don't have to suffer through something similar this time.
I was hoping to try out the Tomb Raider demo that hit xbox live the other day and PC tomorrow.
