This game should have been done in VR. Not sure how good it will be if VR is added to it later.
Played the beta last night and It was pretty fun. Looking forward to playing it more this weekend!
I'm content on letting this one go a few weeks before I pick it up. Even then I need to decide if I want to get it on PC or PS4. A lot depends on what the Clan decides, but I get the feeling this game is not going to offer much in clan based play. I am curious to see if the PC version will have HOTAS play or not. I am guessing not with how you can explore on the planets too.
I would be curious to see how many Digital editions they sold since they were giving away a free copy of the win10 version. I am wondering if that pulled a few disc based sales away.
yea, I am not to happy about the latest port either from what i have been reading. I'm still waiting for my code for the Win 10 version to see how bad it is. Gears of War was not a good port either. Though for KI they sure did nail it, I had no problems with that game and it looks fantastic.
I'm putting up money to get this. My office space at home will just be big enough once I clear out the computer chair and reading chair. Plus you don't always need to move around with it. I am very interested in some of the non-gaming aspects of it as well. I just wished there was a way to send the image from the PC to the living room TV so the family can watch what each person is doing. Not enough room for everyone to hang out in the office.
I thought they said the Win10 code would go out the week of the 5th when the game launched. I'm a bit pissed that MS waited so long to get the Code sent out since I would like to be able to try the crossplay out between the X1 and PC and see how well it picks up.
Will do!
Yea the new GPU will help a lot. I have a R9 290X and I am good to go with it, but I still wouldn't mind bumping up to something stronger, but will wait and see how it works with the HTC VIVE.
I have barely gotten into the game. I have liked the combat system, but am lost on the trading system and the nodes. Buying a house is a bit confusing as well. It's one of those games for me that I will play slowly and appreciate more I think.
Backed this on Kickstarter. Can't wait until I can start playing it on the Beta.
@ThanatosDMC Thanks I wasn't aware they were working on the PS4 version at the same time. With how they have been doing the season releases on PC I wasn't sure how the development of other platforms were going.
Horizons has been fun with the planetary and moon landings. Looking forward to more updates with it. Just need to find the time to sit down and play. There have been a lot of games that have pulled me away from ED.
I don't think they have been working much on the PC VR for the game let alone start working on the PS4 VR. Have they even announced a release date for the PS4 yet? I have it on both my PC an Xbox 1. Prefer my PC for the Saitek X52 HOTAS flight sticks. The X1 is fun to play on, since I can put my TV in 3D mode and get a nice 3D effect with the game. I call that my poor mans VR for right now. I need the price to come down on the VR units on PC to get one.
Why not play it on PC with the Xbox Controller and have best of both worlds. With the 3rd person POV and cover system I think the controller would work better and you can just plug it in and go.
Tried to play it over a free weekend had nothing but problems with it. Adjusted the game to lowest settings and still could not get it stable enough to play. I was running a R9 290X which should have handled it on low to mid settings at 1080P with flying colors.
Pretty bummed this was not about a way to sign up for the beta. I'm really looking forward to this title and to see what all you can do.
Imagine if you can gain control of islands and have guild battles with fleets of ships...
Ashes of the Singularity is DX12 and is available through Steam, so NO they do not have to use the Windows store to have their game on Windows 10.
Very addicting and fun game. No issues at all with Win 10 on my setup.
I thought the beta was good. It provided me a good sense of how the control scheme was going to work out. I played with a Warrior and a Sorceress and had fun with both. As for the PvE portion I felt to much of it was closed off to get any good idea on how much stuff there will be to do.
The guild part of it has me excited to get in and play as well. I haven't been this excited about an MMO since GW2 launched.
Just picked up a Ultrawide monitor (21:9 2560x1080) and disappointed this game does not support Ultrawide monitors. Maybe down the road they will, but a bit bummed to play on PC and have the black bars on the side.
