Those are great features, but wanna know why I chose PC? Gaming is the answer! Bingo! Yahtzee! Keyboard and mouse is more ergonomic, and I can even use Xbox OR PS3 controller. Great exclusives, and I even own both consoles for the 'very few' exclusives. The multiplats perform/look WAY better.
Oh and yeah, we have 'cross game chat' programs where we can talk in any game (cough MW2 modes) and the voice quality is much better.

Sorry to break the news to you, but if you friends don't have a 'fast' computer to load it up in a fair amount of time, they probably aren't going to have a good enough computer to run the game very stable.
N4G users will never use their brain. Dice aren't stupid, they aren't going to make you swap discs for the next map in MP.
Typical N4G users who complain about not wanting to get off their fat asses for 2 seconds for a simple disc swap when they want to play SP/MP.
Replace PS3 with PC and you can go one step further.
Can a 2006 PC? Ahh, yes. Yes it can. The PS3 wasn't alien technology when it came out, there were already better graphic cards, CPUs, RAM etc before the PS3 came out. I thought that was already known.
Does the hi-res pack actually change much, or is it more textures that are down streets I'm not going to go down? I'm currently playing through on max graphics and don't know if it is worth using some of my internet quota to download it or not.
'If' it supports it? You are on a PC, if it doesn't work download a controller emulator and input the controller settings yourself.

How do you tell a butt hurt ps3 user? They start complaining about PC users when they don't even say anything. Seriously, go read the first comment. He says he is going to change from 360 to PS3 from this screenshot. Mr Patriot then says he is a really smart guy for doing so based off a picture taken of a screen that isn't even good quality, being sarcastic of course.

You get a pass when you buy the game new. I don't blame them for doing it, they will not make ANY money from people buying the games used. Do you think EA would rather make $10 off each used game people buy, or $0?
I just wanted to point out something as nobody has told you yet. DO NOT BUY ANOTHER COPY OF WINDOWS.Windows 7 32 bit and 64 bit use the same CD key. When you purchase a key for Windows 7, you have purchased a key for 32 bit AND 64 bit (only one of them installed at a time though). You can download windows 7 home basic 64, reformat your computer and install the 64 bit version legally using your CD key you already have.

What games do that? I bought my PC around the same time as I got my PS3, launch day. Both were around the same price (PS3 was $1000 AUS, PC was $1100). My PC is still running strong, sure it can't handle the graphical beasts like The Witcher 2 on the highest graphics, but it can still run a majority of games at the highest (or close to) settings, and the games that don't still look better than PS3. I have never have any problems with games not running because of new graphic cards ever...
It's to build hype, why else? If you were in charge, would you state something that makes fans excited or "our games are nothing new, our graphics are average, we don't do anything that nobody else has done, it is just your plain old shooter"? You would be great at advertising.
Don't want to sound like a PC elitist but:
Dedicated servers = better ping and more stable
Server kick system = kick cheaters
Anti-hack = hackers gone
Mods = more maps, guns, game modes etc
Better hardware = better framerate = smoother experience
Sounds like the better deal to me.

I don't understand how people see PC gaming dieing either. PC gamers aren't sheeple, not a huge percentage buy into the latest CoD, Halo or GTA so maybe the numbers look smaller, I don't know. A large majority of PC gamers stick to the one game for a long time. Heck, you have to look at the amount of counterstrike players who are still playing. That game is so old now, and yet there are still people playing. Even games like CoD4 on PC sti...
From everything I've seen on quickscoping, everyone who does it doesn't fully zoom in. They basically tap the zoom in, and before the gun is brought up to zoom in they shoot. Clearly in this video the person zooms right into the scope before shooting, so you are right, it is nothing like CoD's quick scoping.
