So I click on N4G to see what's up, and I see an article called "The 360: A Console in Decline". And then right next to it is another article entitled "Xbox 360 MW 2 Outselling PS3 2-to-1". Go figure.

There was a rumor for a Platinum membership months ago, but nothing confirmed yet. It wouldn't surprise me. I wish MS would make Live free, but sadly, I see Sony charging for PSN as more realistic. Who knows. What I do know is that the $100 Live crap is total BS because MS knows that there would be a huge negative backlash, especially when PSN is free.

Here is a solution: start putting huge labels on some 360 games that say "Hard Drive required". A 360 is hardly a 360 without a hard drive anyway, and if you're a hardcore gamer, than you have a hard drive, period. If someone is too cheap to purchase a HDD, then screw them.
Yeah it would be suicide for MS. If that happens, I'll be switching to Sony. I don't like their controller as much, but I know I can quickly get used to it. It's a similar layout, just a slightly different feel. I'd miss Halo and Gears a lot, but I'd at least get to play Uncharted and MGS4.
This game has a lot of potential. I hope it's as fun as it sounds.

Sony fanboys, remember this the next time a 360 game has glitches. No one is perfect and to find a game that is completely glitch free is rare. Uncharted 2 looks amazing by all other accounts.

Saaking, many people think that the 360 has many quality games. When you get into a Halo or Gears game, it's hard to put the controller down.
Anyway, if you haven't played The Darkness, Condemned or Saints Row, do yourself a favor and play them!

I LOVE Halo, but any technology that Naughty Dog shared with Bungie didn't show up in ODST. I'm not taking anything away from it since I have a hard time putting the controller down when I play it (and isn't that what a game is really all about?), but the reason...

I'm not going to say that Bungie should be on this list, but it does have the highest selling exclusives of the past two gens (unless you count Wii Sports...but who's counting that?). The success of the Halo franchise can't be denied.
Wow, after all these years, Nintendo and Sega are still on the list. You can't argue the success of something that stands the test of time like that.
I don't know how good this game will be, but as far as the graphics goes, this one isn't even close. The 360 wins hands down.
I've seen Windows 7 running first hand and I can tell you that it uses less computer resources than Vista. If it takes a few seconds longer to boot up, who cares? I'm personally looking forward to Windows 7.

Saaking, do you regret canceling your ODST order? You should, it's a fun game. So how long have you been a Halo fan? You must be a Halo fan after all, if you pre-ordered the game.
2good4u2, don't forget analog trigger buttons. Sony added that in order to spice up their outdated controller, but what's the point, most Sony games use the shoulder buttons to fire. What's the point in having trigger buttons if you don't use them to shoot?
On the subject of an MS version of Home, if MS wants to add it, that's fine but I could take it or leave it. Neither Home nor the Sims has ever appealed to me. Something like that would hold my attention for about 5-10 min...
I think they should keep trying. I'll say it yet again: Japan is a big rock that MS has to keep chipping away at. In time, success will come with persistence.
Three things that MS needs to do right for success in not only Japan, but the rest of the world. 1. Adapt a Sony-like business model. By that I mean keep supporting the 360 long into the next gen. Let people get their true money's worth. 2. And this is probably the most crucial...only release the next console after it ...
