The PS3 will never be the success that the PS2 was, but it won't be a failure. I've said all along that the PS3's best days will be later on in this generation, and I feel that I've been pretty much stating the obvious.
The PS3's failure to penetrate the market in the same way that the PS1 and 2 did can absolutely be attributed to its price. Didn't the gasps of the E3 audience when they unveiled its price tell you anything?
Another factor is that the 360 had a head...
Speaking of fans, here is a video that represents the average PS3 fan who purchased Modern Warfare 2. ;-D ;-D ;-D
@XIII - Yeah, I'm sure he has. You're full of crap.
The only kind of "football" that I acknowledge involves shoulder pads and a helmet.
@ XIII - Yeah, if you actually take time to read the very short article, you'd see that this is a risky, complex process, that actually requires you to have a second, non-banned console anyway. Very few people will do this or be able to do this.
I'm speaking in general terms about the majority of people on this board. If anyone ever says anything remotely negative about Sony, then they get a ton of disagrees, even if what they said is the truth. It's a childish mentality that is demonstrated by both sides, but by Sony fans in particular.
And by the way, your opinion of Halo is just that, an opinion. The success of the franchise speaks for itself. I think Halo is an amazingly fun franchise. The only thing holding it ...
As far as I'm concerned, anyone who can't acknowledge anything good about either system just because they like one better than the other is a piece of crap. And Sony fangirls are by far the most petty and baby-like.
Lykon, you are a retard. Not just a retard, but one of the most retarded among the retarded.
How can you say a company disgusts you for penalizing people who pirate their software? You later say that you don't like how they license their PC software...but that is their prerogative and it doesn't change the fact that people are stealing. If you like Sony better, that's cool...but to support those that are modding consoles and stealing games is just dumb.
I expected it to be much closer, but there is a clear winner here, and it is definitely the 360 version. I can't believe how much more detail there is in the 360 version. I was actually wondering if some fanboy doctored the PS3 version to make it not look as good. If not, the 360 version clearly wins, hands down.
Thank you DMason. Just about every big product like this has tamper tape inside so they know if you opened it up and tried to mod something or not.
It just goes to show how quickly people on this site will jump on something...even if it is unwarranted.
And Saaking, just because the 360 doesn't have BluRay doesn't mean it's last gen. There are so many games that look better and run better on the 360. Unless the PS3 can do everything better and play every game bette...
Ken, you pancake-faced idiot, if anyone knows about waiting, it's you. How old are you anyway? What kind've an insult is "ChatBot"?
I'm sure you're going to bed every night praying that the X-Engine doesn't live up to the hype. It shouldn't even matter to you. If you like PS3 games better, then just play your PS3. I like Halo and Gears better, so I'll play my 360. I couldn't care less if PS3 exclusives turn out good or bad. I plan on getting a Slim eventually, ...
I guess we'll just have to wait and see if it's for real or not. I cannot wait for Halo Reach, it's going to kick ass!
@TheRealKiller, I heard about it several months ago when they said that MS was shipping out new dev kits to developers that will help maximize the potential of the 360. Personally I can't wait to see what they can do with it.
I actually agree, I'd rather use the controller any day of the week. Although, if they make shooters where Natal is a supplement to the controller that would be cool. For example, if I could tilt my head to the side to peak around a corner or move my hand in a throwing motion to toss a grenade, that would be great. But first and foremost, I would like to stick with the controller.
I don't condone going around maliciously calling people f@gs, but if someone wants to use that word in comedy, or at least an attempt at comedy, then who cares. If someone wants to make a racial joke, let them. Making fun of stereotypes is hilarious, because it's often based on an element of truth. People need to stop being so overly sensitive.
I totally agree with you. Whoever disagreed with you is an overly-sensitive douche. I guess no one should ever attempt humor so we know for sure that no one will get offended. At least with that dumb mentality.
I guess all of the PS3 guys bought Bayonetta.
There are definitely some different tastes in gaming among the two groups. Borderlands is a definite buy for me somewhere down the road.
It's a word. Let's not let mere words control our emotions this much. Is some "outraged"? No. Rarely does anyone get truly "outraged". When Al Sharpton says he's "outraged", he's not. He's just looking to get someone in trouble over nothing for his own gain. Luckily people are starting to see Sharpton and Jackson for the race baiters that they really are.
Why is this country so full of people with a looking-to-get-offended and tattle tale ment...
So Rock, are you going to challenge Cena for saying you've turned your back on the business when you host Monday Night RAW?
By the way, I love the Poontang Pie. I hear that some of these PS3 guys have a steady diet of strudel if ya know what I'm saying (and I think you do).
I clicked on the link, which said "11 upcoming games that will blow you...". I was thinking, wow, the technology these days in incredible.
You guys act like piracy is cool and that MS banning modded systems is an evil act. If you were in charge of your own video game company, and you knew that people were pirating software on your system, wouldn't you want to put a stop to it too? Would you think Sony was so evil for doing the same thing if people were pirating their games?
Stop being hypocritical douches.
