MS needs to introduce a peripheral or two for Kinect to allow for more hardcore games. Kinect can obviously do whole body controllerless gaming better than anything else, and introducing something similar to Sony's Wave would give it the edge considering that the motion tracking devices would be Sony's Eyetoy vs. MS's more advanced Kinect.

I'm tired of people insinuating that white people are the only ones who are racist or prejudice. That's just stupid. Look at Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson. They have both falsely accused white people of crimes, only to later have them be found innocent.

In every ethnicity and race, you will find people who are good, bad, generous, racist, etc. Unless of course you watch the news or listen to overly-politically-correct "guilty" white people, in which ca...

Awesome! Hopefully this is the beginning of MS actually being competitive in Japan.

Genesis did have HD graphics...for the time, considering it was twice as powerful as the NES. The Genesis actually helped SEGA beat Nintendo for a brief period, because for a while it was considered the cool system to own. This was despite the fact that the Super NES had better specs almost across the board, with the exception of the processor. I wonder how many of you on this board are old enough to remember SEGA's "blast processing" commercials for the Genesis?

Game theft? Like when Sega "stole" Street Fighter II so it could be on the Genesis too?

Why wouldn't a console maker do everything in its power to make sure as many great franchises as possible appear on their console?

Cold, you are right. It's obvious that most people on this website are kids and possess low IQ's. They seem to be incapable of acknowledging that Sony didn't invent everything about video games.

Yeah Wesley, MS sure gains a lot by putting the RROD out there. They gained a lot of frustrated customers, bad press, bad image, and the opportunity to set aside a billion dollars. Lucky them, their evil plan is working perfectly.

Seriously though, one good thing they hopefully did gain is a valuable lesson. If you don't rush things to market and put out good, reliable products, good things will follow. Let's hope they remember that for their future consoles.

Well yeah the PS Eye is accurate, but it's not the full body peripheral that Kinect is.

To the people that disagree, I'm pretty sure that I know which part of my statement you're disagreeing with so...tell us how the PS3 Eye is more advanced than Kinect. I'm not talking about Move, just asking how Sony's camera is more advanced than Kinect.

Kinect is more advanced than the PS3 Eye Camera. All MS needs to do is make a peripheral like Sony's Move to be used with Kinect. They probably won't though, but they should so Kinect can be used for more hardcore games.

Kinect will be popular among the kiddies. I think most people on this website prefer the good old controller.

The problem is, on this website, the logic isn't "never believe fanboys", it's "never believe anything positive about Microsoft or the 360". This place is overrun with PS3 fanboys. The 360 has been "maxed out" for years now according to them, yet the better looking game is always right around the corner.

The only thing I have to say about E3 is where were the surprises? The thing that surprised me the most was Crytek's new game for the 360. My favorite E3 moment though was Kevin Butler's speech.

As far as getting publicity goes, MS has to be the winner.

It cracks me up how some people think all MS does is copy and everything that Sony does is original. I see lame arguments like "A redesign, price cut, bigger hard drive, etc." and laugh. Redesigning, cutting the price and adding on a bigger hard drive are necessary for business.

MS is a pioneer in online gaming. The Xbox wasn't the first console to do online gaming, but no one can argue that MS has taken online console gaming to new heights. Also, MS was the...

No way, Xbox sounds edgy, while Wii and PlayStation sound childish.

Wasn't GT bundled with PS hardware for a long time? I believe it was. Halo creates much more of a buzz in the general public when a new game is released. I'm sure there will be articles comparing GT5 sales to that of Halo 3 and Halo: Reach, so we'll just have to wait and see.

As opposed to Wii and PlayStation?

5772d ago 0 agree1 disagreeView comment

That would be a dumb move on MS's part. Xbox is not only a recognizable brand name by now, but it's also the coolest of the 3 console names. The Wii sounds like a phallic object, and the PlayStation sounds like something you'd find in the corner of a kindergarten classroom.

People want to rag on Halo, but the fact is that if the quality of Halo 3's predecessor's was poor then there would've been a sales drop off.

Well there is L.A. Noire coming up, which I will definitely get. However that's developed by Team Bondi and being published by Rockstar. Then there were the rumors of GTA V.

It's smart of them to skip it. They don't need the publicity for their games. GTA sales were phenomenal, and it seems like a lot of people bought Red Dead too.

Microsoft is the least established among the 3 major console makers. They've done extremely well for having only their second gen console. Look at how much marketshare they've taken away from Sony. What they need to do for the future is:

1.) Work on acquiring more first party studios.
2.) Establish an image of value and reliability in the eyes of the average consumer by:
A. Establishing a Sony-like business model, where they support their consoles f...
