My favorite game this gen may still be Oblivion. That game is incredible, definitely a must own.
It'll probably make its way to the 360 eventually just like the 360 content for GTA made its way to the PS3 after a period of time.
I agree with FlipMode, it's overkill. Besides, why are we surprised? The 360 version of games are usually a little sharper while the PS3 version tend to be a tad blurrier. If you look at past games, that's just usually the way it goes.
I really don't think the differences are that big a deal, but it's nice to see articles like this to remind the PS3 fanboys that the 360 still packs quite a punch.
When this happens on the 360, Sony fanboys always make fun. But the thing is, with upconversion, it doesn't really matter that much. Unless you pause the game and stare at the screen, you probably won't notice much. Just play the damn game, it looks amazing!
Rock Bottom, way to take what I said out of context. Did you not read the "Hypothetically speaking, assuming everything else is equal..." before my statement?
This could be the GOTY. Possible contenders so far: Mass Effect 2, God of War 3 and Red Dead Redemption.
Ten disagrees so far, interesting. So you guys think that Alan Wake looks better?
I would give the win to UC2, but Alan Wake looks better than 95% of games we've seen so far. Hypothetically speaking, assuming everything else is equal, a game that is bright and vibrant in color will always look more visually appealing than a game that is dark. But that's just the nature of the game though, A.W. is supposed to be dark.
The one part of the video that impressed me most on A.W.'s part is the part where Alan was running in the lumbar yard next to t...
I'm more excited for the new Medal of Honor...where you battle actual Muslim Al Qaeda operatives and not politically correct fictional terrorists.
"Go into a vagina for the first time". Great. This is over a decade too late for me.
Obama a Republican? That's a laugh. Look at how much he's expanding government. Not to mention he wants socialized medicine. Make no mistake, Barack governs further to the right than he wants to. Some of the decisions a president makes are in the interest of keeping members of his party in office when the election comes, and not by choice.
I'm starting to think it's time we elect some good, moderate Republicans into office. I think they'll be best for job creation and security.
Looks like a cool game, but is this going to be a "real" Assassin's Creed or more of an extension of 2? Speaking of A.C.2, I have yet to play it but hope to before the third one comes out.
It's a well known fact that El Botto's IQ lies somewhere between that of a rock and an ostrich. All you have to do is read the blurb up top to see that Alan Wake is a great game. It may not have gotten the expected 9-10 score, but it's good nonetheless. An average game is one that receives a 6 or a 7, like Yakuza 3.
Botto, if A.W. was a PS3 exclusive, you know that you would be talking it up, don't even try to deny it.
I think Red Dead looks a lot better than GTA. Playing westerns is more of a novelty in video games since they're fewer and farther between. That's the same reason I slightly prefer Oblivion over Fallout 3.
I'm surprised that Alan Wake only received an 8.5. Oh well, I can't wait for it anyway, and I definitely can't wait for Red Dead.
Offensive? Grow some thicker skin, you babies. Political correctness stinks. Do you know what political correctness is? It's polite dishonesty. Think about it.
I've read rumors that PSN might keep online play free but charge for other features.
The bottom line is though that charging for PSN would be a whole new revenue stream for Sony. You know that has been in the back of their minds the whole time. Especially at a time when Sony's gaming division has been losing money for the past several years, they could really use that new revenue stream.
This raises a new question: If Sony starts charging for PSN ...
@FragGen - No need to hate either version, the differences are minimal. This will end up being one of the defining games of this gen.
