An eyetoy is just a camera. Kinect does a lot more. It's not hard to see that Kinect is way more advanced. The Eyetoy has been around for a long time. Why hasn't it made the same waves that Kinect has? Why would people be so excited to go out and buy something that is a cheap rip off of something that's been out for a long time?

Microsoft is better at generating media buzz than Sony. Of course Kinect sold more. Not to mention, Move is simply Wii-mote 2.0, while Kinect is the first of its kind. For my own personal gaming use, I'd rather have move though. That is, if I was interested in motion gaming. I'm more than happy with the good old-fashioned controller.
Question: If this article were the other way around, would you all be so quick to call it crappy journalism, or would you pile on the "agrees"?
The truth is more people should use PSN since it is free to do so. But companies are about making money. Since Xbox makes WAY, WAY more money with Live than Sony does with PSN, doesn't Microsoft win in that particular area?
The answer for Microsoft is simple: acquire several first-party studios just like Sony did. It's won't let a bunch of MS exclusives pop up over night since games take time, but it would definitely be a worth investment that will pay off in the future.
I think a lot of it has to do with media buzz, and of the big 3 console makers, Microsoft if the undisputed king of generating hype and buzz over their products.
Half Life 3 or Elder Scrolls V would be nice.

Honestly, what do you expect them to say? They don't want people focused on a new Xbox yet during the same week that they just released Kinect. That could hurt sales. Look at how much marketshare they have. Of course they'll release a new Xbox in a few years from now.

I doubt Activision and Treyarch are purposely gimping the PS3 version. They kind of compete with Infinity Ward in a way, who I think is having a hand in developing the next Modern Warfare. This is just incompetence on their part, and makes them look foolish.
