Hands Up For Games had two reasonable, common sense comments. I can't believe the number of disagrees he had. Oh wait, I forgot, this is N4G, home base of petty Sony fangirls everywhere.
Natal may be the real deal or it may not be. But the thing is, since E3 is so close, why show it too much? It's better to make a big impact rather than let the cat out of the bag too early. There are projects that other gaming companies could show right now, but they are being he...
Sony didn't invent the slim version of a console. The NES and Genesis both had slim version. There were at least three versions of the Genesis.
You think Sony never blatantly copies MS, that they're always the originators? Looks at Sony's controller. The L2 and R2 buttons are now analog triggers...despite that fact that most games on the PS3 have you using L1 and R1 to shoot because that's where your fingers naturally rest on their outdated controller!
Montrealien, you are exactly right. There are so many blind sheep on this website that like to pretend that Sony does no wrong. Get the wool out of your eyes guys, Sony wants your money too, they're not making product to be your friend.
I was pretty excited to play this one when I first saw the article about it in Game Informer a year or so ago. It's a shame it turned out to be lackluster. Oh well, they can't all be winners I guess. But then what do I care about this game, I just bought Mass Effect 2 :-)
The success of Natal will depend solely on its price. They have to put the hardware at a cheap price and make up for it with software. I for one won't be paying $150 for it. I would pay $50 as would many other people.
Uh, I meant to say it's a great thing for the 360 and its owners. Typo.
As a gamer who appreciates the old fashioned controller, I don't think I'd pay more than $50 for Natal.
Things won't change that much for PS3 owners. R&C and Resistance will still be exclusives to the PS3, but the 360 will get some new multiplatform IP's out of it. Still, adding another company to the list of developers is a great thing for the PS3 and its owners. Some games that would've been exclusive will now be multiplatform.
Well said.
Some of you guys say that Halo should retire. Isn't that being a little bit biased? Anyone with anything other than rocks for brains knows that you don't retire a franchise that consistently makes huge amounts of money as well as gets great reviews. What was the name of that PS3 exclusive that made more money than Halo 3 again? Oh yeah, it was called The Imaginary, Nonexistant game.
When Halo games start getting mediocre reviews and there is no buzz on the franchi...
I can't wait for the day when all systems are powerful enough to let the graphics look exactly how the creator imagines them, which in most cases will look like real life. Then and only then will the focus get back to game play and storytelling, what games should be about. No more obsessing over whether a game's resolution is in native HD or upscaled to HD.
I like the revamped look. There was minimal difference between Gears 1 and 2, but the difference between 2 and 3 is definitely noticeable. I love the extra color and more detailed textures.
Those screen shots look incredible! This will be a day 1 purchase for me. The graphical improvements from Gears 1 to Gears 2 were pretty subtle, however the improvements from 2 to 3 are very noticeable. That along with four player co-op make this game a must-buy.
I was going to get Alan Wake right away, but I forgot about Red Dead Redemption coming out. RDR is at the top of my list. I play on playing A.W. eventually, just not right away.
He said he prefers Xbox because of Live, not just Xbox Live itself. Just to clarify.
Stick a fork in this one, it's done already. I think RDR has set a new record for the number of PS3 vs. 360 comparisons for a single game.
Figboy, that was a brilliant reply!
I love Rockstar games. They are made specifically for adults. You will not find a more extensive western anywhere. The game is getting phenomenal reviews, and people still find reason to complain. I guess no single game can please anybody.
When MS releases their "NeXtbox", they better damn well put it through the ringer first and make sure it's reliable. They would also be wise to offer a widely publicized 3 year warranty right out of the box. I will definitely get the next Xbox, but first I want to make sure that it's been done right.
MS should have two primary goals for next gen: 1. Start slowly building more first party studios. 2. Establish itself as a maker of reliable hardware in the e...
You can hit disagree, but you know I'm right!
