@ScaryMonkey6
How does it feel to think anyone cares about you when they don't?
@ArchangelMike
There are rules and regulations you have to follow in every area of life. In business you have to follow them even more carefully.
You can't just break the rules then say you don't agree with them (well you can but you'll end up in prison).
Game revenue has nothing to do with how successful a console is. Microsoft built the console to sell as many as they could to the public, not to maximise the profits for third party software companies.
You don't judge the popularity of a TV by working out who watched what on which set, just add up the sales totals.
@Mystic
I am aware that the sentiment behind the title is wrong, otherwise I'd be selling shoe boxes @£400 a piece with the tagline "for the greatest".
I didn't say I agree with the title, just that it did make sense.
@Toiletsteak
I was trying to explain the meaning of the title to somebody who has obvious problems in understanding the meaning of words. If I had just repeated the title, you'd be in no better a positi...
Street Fighter used to be SNES exclusive, things change.
I can guarantee that SFV won't be played professionally on Microsoft hardware.
It does make sense, but is worded awkwardly.
Read it as:
Will this be the last year that the simple advertising mantra "for the players" is enough to sell massive numbers of PS4's?
@UltraNova
While I agree with what you say, buyers wouldn't have to switch machines for Xbox to win. Microsoft could sell its standard numbers whilst PS4 sells far fewer than it would have had it been in stock.
@KiwiViper85
Most casual gamers aren't even aware of E3. If they've been waiting for a while to save up to get a console, they are hardly going to wait longer for an event they've never heard of to get out the way.
58-60 isn't closer to 50 at all, I guess that maths is not one of your strengths.
That comparison is not for the same thing at all. It is for a 2.5" drive enclosure (the same size as the original) so it doesn't need to add any bulk.
How will putting a plastic hard drive enclosure on your PS4 fry it?
The 3.5" drive draws the same power as a 2.5" drive and the only extra power drain seems to be the digital display which again takes next to no power.
It is actually very necessary as most users cannot fit their entire library of games on 500Gb of hard drive space. Having to re-download old games when you want a quick go is very annoying.
Music and video files are tiny compared to PS4 games.
@Vasto
How can it be bigger than any other game when it only appears on Xbox and PC? What metric are you using?
Total sales = failure
Column inches of hype = failure
In fact there isn't a single metric that I am aware of that substanciates your statement. It is factually inaccurate.
Hasn't that been said prior to every E3 for the past decade.
I personally don't think it should ever be released as peoples expectations are way too high for it not to be a disappointment to most.
@Curtis
PC gamers aren't a "tribe", they don't all think alike at all. In fact they are the least homogenised of all gamers and range from the most casual to the most hardcore.
Your statement is quite hilarious though.
As it is ostensibly a PC game, only selling 1/3 of on the primary platform is pretty poor. Then when you factor in the huge amount of PC gamers out there, the percentage that bought the game is pathetic.
It looks fantastic, what aspect do you think looks dated? You have to remember the scale and detail of the fallout games, in 2010 fallout didn't look this good at all.
Nobody likes American muscle cars outside of America. Poor build quality, ancient technology and terrible design take care of that.
I have forgotten the story of vault 11 (my game narrative memory isn't great), I'm sure a gentle prod would remind me.
