"I don't really give a shit about specs give me the games"
Stick with the WiiU then (or GameCube).
Not quite the same is it. The PS4 ships as a complete console with everything you need to get started.
Switch has some of what makes the console work missing when you buy it.
The PS4 has at least a 500gb hard drive to begin with and if you choose to upgrade it, as it's just a standard hard drive, you don't give any money to Sony.
Sony tend to use industry standard connectors and ports (which leaves you open to using non-Sony alternatives...
No it's a modified Tegra chip. The chip itself is a standard Tegra but with customisations specific to Switch.
"No. The chip in Switch custom made from ground up with the Switch. Nvidia said themselves."
But it's based on a Tegra, so we know for a fact that isn't true (just PR talk).
"Move it over to Unreal 4 now before its too late."
They already did once (without telling Crytek). Then Crytek moved in on the project, kicked a few butts (several people left), and had a far stronger hand in the production.
I'm not expecting too much from this game, the birth has been too chaotic.
It's a bit worrying when they make a fairly long trailer and avoid showing any footage whatsoever. They seem to have zero confidence in their achievements.
That's silly, you could sell the Ferrari and buy 30 Honda's.
Where did these Ferrari's and Honda's come from anyway? Were they gifts or did we buy them?
That's the trouble with these similes, never enough details.
Maybe a better simile would be a PC is like a duck, a console is like a goose, both are different but similar and which one is better is a stupid question in that scenario too.
@10th
"The console is exactly what you'd expect out of Nintendo and if people don't like that, they should just not buy their products."
It's what you've learned to expect from Nintendo since the Wii. Prior to that Nintendo had traditional home consoles.
A lot of those fans that loved the old Nintendo consoles feel alienated by the direction Nintendo are taking.
Superbowl will only affect America so it can't help that much (although I know it's huge over there).
The Switch is in a far better position than WiiU was however, and I do see it performing much better sales wise.
It depends how you define a "home console".
A smartphone with HDMI out can be purchased for less.
The title definately asks what you would be "willing to pay", tbh I probably still wouldn't get one at that price
It's a cultural thing about commitment. It's like Americans getting upset when you burn their flag. It seems really stupid until you understand the culture better.

Gamers have opinions and they aren't all the same.
"It's a gaming site, and you should be able to be excited about whatever the hell you feel like related to gaming."
You can do that, but this isn't Nintendoland where everything is daisy's and buttercups. Get excited, but don't expect the mods to remove any views just because they conflict with yours, that's ridiculous.
People here are talking about the switch, ...
"Why do the same old Whiney whingy people come here just to tell everyone they are not getting a switch it's underpowered and it's rubbish"
The same reason that the fans come here to gush over anything Nintendo. The ones that say they are getting a Switch "day one"
In other words because they are gamers with opinions on gaming related news.
He gave the impression that the Switch would have access to any PC game, I was pointing out that it won't happen.
"Can be" but won't be.
By what exactly?
What tech? It's a smartphone with handles.
@il-JumperMT
That's what I was saying.
Neonridr said that the Vita costs $199 and suggested that the Switch is worth $100 more than a Vita. I said that the Vita is overpriced too because I believe the switch should be $150-$200.
Slightly customised smartphone chips in the Switch aren't going to make it bigger.
It isn't as small, as sleek or as powerful as a top end mobile phone so I don't see it as being that big an accomplishment.
Sometimes you show your cards in Poker after everyone folds. You can do it to convince someone you play cards a certain way (loose or by the book), when it was really just an outlier.
