It's not really clickbait as the Guardian is a well respected newspaper, it's more that they aren't that knowledgeable on the subject.
Their key demographic is highly educated middle class people, not gamers at all. This article isn't meant for dedicated gamers.
If Microsoft want to dominate the console market they need a massive and fundamental change in their attitude, not just a powerful system.
Utter rubbish, you obviously haven't got a clue about the liberal view on anything. Just the anti-liberal hype bandwagon.
"Stuff looks high quality in the scorpio in comparison."
That makes a change. I've repaired both PS3's and 360's and PS3's are far better quality. Same goes for previous generations.
Maybe Microsoft are finally learning how cheaper doesn't mean better when it comes to console manufacturing.
I don't know if we even have cockroaches in the UK, I've only ever seen them abroad.
@EmperorDalek
It would have been better had you tried to look for real weaknesses of the PS4.
The UI is infinitely superior to the XBox version (according to every independent reviewer), the pads are great, well made and I'm still using my launch system pad with no problems.
You can't seriously accuse Sony of not supporting it's consoles when compared to Microsoft who drop support completely for all their consoles a few mon...
"I'd like to see more games pushing for higher frame rates but because sony is leading and have shown very little appetitite for going beyond 30 along with its parity clauses, it will be hard to convince developes to go in that direction."
Yes, blame Sony for Microsoft being useless. If the XBOne were more powerful it wouldn't matter what Sony did. The developers choose the resolution and frame rates anyway, not Sony.
Every single switch WILL have a scratched screen in time due to poor product design. That is what people are saying, it has nothing to do with Sony fanboys at all.
Nintendo Fanboy: let's pretend everything is wonderful and ignore the truth as it doesn't suit our agenda. Pretend that all complaints are just misinformation and bury our heads in the sand.
Well they say that every single screen will scratch in time because it's such a bad design flaw.
There's a difference between 5 people and every single system.
That's not fair, they've cancelled and butchered plenty of titles in preparation for the Scorpio's release. That takes serious effort.
Offering nothing at all isn't as easy as you think.
Release it at a high price to establish its high value then reduce it shortly afterwards to imply a bargain?
It will cost more than $500, or Microsoft wouldn't be softening the blow with their "premium console, premium price" mantra.
The 3DO was a better console than the Neo Geo. Neo Geo had King of Fighters and other exclusive arcade games, that's why it was popular.
They only gave me 320 hrs online.
It's terrible for data analysis. You'd have to say how much dust over whatever period of time, and that would only determine how dirty your room was.
Mine is 407hrs on FIFA (don't know how, I'm not even a big fan) 2016 showed 320hrs on Fallout 4.
My rarest is from Castlestorm shared with 27 others.
I'm in the top 1% for trophies (as it seems is everyone else), but in the time since I joined I've had over 18 months without internet so it is skewed.
Yes it's exactly the same thing. One company stops giving out sales figures and instead gives useless stats in their place. Another company is happy to show sales figures, useless stats and anything else you want.
The practice of swapping sales figures for stats is what Microsoft should be ashamed of, not the stats themselves.
If you couldn't see that massive difference for yourself you're probably beyond hope of ever understanding it.
Tearaway is awesome. I played it on LSD and it nearly melted my brain (my friend kept throwing items into the game from his smartphone and I didn't have a clue what was happening).
But Microsoft put a BIG emphasis on cloud computing AT LAUNCH!!!
They said it would make the X1 4x more powerful in an attempt to dissuade people from buying a PS4. They didn't say "but you will have to wait years until we're ready to launch a new console before you can access it".
So did Microsoft not know how long it takes to build a game? Or were they being dishonest when they suggested it would be a factor in the lifetime of the X1...
It works both ways. The deal broke down because they couldn't reach an agreement, it wasn't anyone turning anyone down.
