To be fair though, there were a lot of reports leaking out about Unity's poor performance for months prior to release, as far as I'm aware this is not the case for Far Cry 4.

The Xbone couldn't cope with 1080p on either of those titles so they had to lower the resolution. Your comment is a bit dumb as the games you mentioned actually prove that the PS4 is more powerful.
There is no way of knowing how many sales are won or lost due to metacritic scores as you can only release a game for the first time once, so there is no data to compare.
I would only consider using metacritic to influence my game selection if a game I was on the fence about got less than 50% (too many poor reviews to ignore).

O.T. MS have been taking money for online services for many years now, they really ought to be much better than they are at providing these services. Poor show MS, this was a big release, you should have taken it more seriously.

At least the core game of DriveClub is pretty much bug-free (only the online element had issues).
The remastered version is the same game as the 12 year old remake, just with improved graphics. The original game is 18 years old.
I loved Resident Evil when it first came out, I never got the same thrills in subsequent sequels. I picked up a copy of "advanced BMX simulator" (codemasters first title) on the Commodore 64 for £2.99 brand new. £15.00 was the most you could spend on a new game at the time.
P.S. Advanced BMX simulator was one of the best games I played on the system.
You bought a new PS4? A hard reset would have fixed your PS4 if it was bricked by the 2.0 rest bug (you could have unplugged it and plugged it in again to fix it).
That isn't true! Mine was working fine after installing 2.0, then I altered the settings and my ps4 wouldn't wake from rest mode.
The bug was evident for me with the 2.0 update and disappeared with 2.01. It couldn't possibly be only introduced in the way you suggest.
2.01 fixed the rest mode bug for me (the bug only occurred after I altered the download whilst in rest mode settings).

All the players hand animations had to be added. Every gun now has its own individual reload/secondary fire animations, all interactions between the players hands and any world objects have had to receive new animations..
I agree completely, to some its a gimmick, to others the best thing to happen to GTA since they moved from the top-down view.
You can switch views at any time or can complete the game in its entirety in either view so you'd think everyone would be happy right?.....right?
