With this design, they’re moving away from a do it all media box, and doubling down on its gaming strengths. Otherwise this is a hideous blu ray player, but an awesome gaming console.

Every generation we say that. Most games are developed for all platforms and most game engines cater for it. You’ll start to see pc games require an ssd or have work around. Just not for a few years.

Yes really. There are loads of other Pokémon games with different game mechanics, and none of them do as well as the original turn based mechanic.

I don’t think the value in this product is whether or not it works. It’s never ever going to be opened. Who ever opens it will immediately cause its value to drop by hundreds of thousands of dollars.

They’re actually not. There’s a reason why the rich delve into buying expensive art, classics, jewellery and collectables. What is your money doing every day? Falling in value. What is this ultra rare game doing? Going up in value.

This will make it cheaper for everyone most likely. Right now when you buy a console you have to front the entire cost and most of the time it's not even active. Wouldn't it be great if you could magically transport your xbox to another house when someone else wants to play it, in exchange you pay half the price for the console, now repeat that many more times.
It's likely an Apple TV competitor focused on gaming. The PS4, Switch, Xbox, aren't the only things in the gaming industry. You have PC, Phones, TVs that play games, facebook, java, Apple TV, Tablets, watches, even some cable channels are games, Arcade, cars with games built in them, and more. Anyone else can think of something that would be included in the electronic gaming industry?

They should have canceled it. It was awful.
These speculative articles have real world ramifications. Some of these games aren't even in talks with sony about PP. People who would otherwise decide to buy these games decide not to and that hurts developers.
