Where on earth do you come to that conclusion? Did you watch it with the sound of
@northpaws oh I'm not either. I think it looks decent. I have 18 months left on my GP so I'll give it a try too.
Honestly don't see why people complain about the games eventually going to PC. There's literally no drawbacks. The more sales the more chance of new games. It doesn't affect you in the slightest it being on PC.
Stop going so over the top. The day XB gets an actual exclusive that looks next level then act like this
It won't be over 70. GTA want numbers on their product because their money is in online not the product sale. Might see a raise to 80 on next gen but it'll be a long ass time before any base game price is 100
No it isn't? It's exactly the same. You're paying for early access. That isn't day one it's early access. Day one games are the same they've been for years. Metaphor cost me £40 day one.
I thought the previews showed a positive outlook too. I remember the very first opinions were bad but after that it's been pretty much good things
I'd it's good and relatively bug free it'll sell, it's a simple as that. Personally I haven't ordered it yet because I have enough to play and it'll be much better with the Pro update 2 weeks later
Think this'll be the case for a lot of first party games. They're always very polished. Especially this one. It's 3rd party that the differences are
@Onilink care to break it down why it doesnt add up? I will. Ballpark figures - the GPU is around 400, the SSD and CPU together are around 200. So that's 600 out of the 700 and then you still have the RAM, motherboard, power supply, materials and controller
Ill call Sony out when they do bad things but the parts in Sonys device add up to or very close to the 699 price tag. The Series X 2TB doesn't.
@profchaos exactly. I remember I got a 2TB SSD for my PS5 and it cost me £220. Now you can pick them up for £85. As you say that 2TB will cost them less than the original 1TB was in 2020. It's super cheap now not expensive.
Baffles me the shit Sony get for pricing the Pro at 699 when this is 599 and it has the same power as the 2020 console.
@kingkratos I mean they have no reason to lie when it'll all be DF analysed before release. Not as if they're overstating, just that the 60 fps has the details of quality mode...doesn't seem a stretch. Look at Rebirth, that actually gave more than Square Enix said once analysed. All the other other pro games are showing the difference now they're being analysed, so yes I think it'd be strange if this one specific game is being lied about by the developer? 😂😂...
I'm not too worried about games that have an established 60 fps mode. Because the grunt of adding the RT or resolution will be handled by the GPU at the already established frame rate. It's ones that are trying to make a 60 fps mode that doesn't exist that may be the issue
I just can't see it myself. Sure, there will be some. But who is paying $800 for a disc Pro as their first PS5 when they weren't that interested enough in PlayStation to get one in the 4 years after release. Are those people without much interest really jumping in a super high enthusiast price point? Surely it'd be the base console at half that cost
@kingkratos stop obsessing over that 45% number it's nothing like that on actual gameplay. Look at Dragon Age for example. You're getting better than the details of a 30 fps mode on base PS5, at 60 fps even with Ray Tracing. That isn't a 45% increase. " a little more RT than regular PS5"? You're ignoring the fact that the RT capabilities on the Pro are 2-300% better. Is that a little? And also ignoring the PSSR.
It hasn't sold out though. We don't know how many units were available only they do. It's fine in a way charging that high for an optional console, but next gen when you actually need that console to play a game, they need the numbers on a console as their money is in software. Pricing it as high as the Pro means the vast majority of casual gamers say no thank you. It's the enthusiasts already with a PS5 not someone without a PS5 who are paying 7-800 for a console.
In fairness a lot of COD players play just that for the vast majority of their gaming time. Most of my friends are like that. 98% of their time is split between COD and 'Fifa'. If someone's buying GP just for that it's costing 3x what it does on PS for the full year, and you can't sell it after. Also, do you not get deals in the US? It's £70 regular price in the UK but I picked it up for £45 on preorder a few weeks ago. You can still get it for £53 thoug...
That all depends on if you sell your games, if you sell, day one gaming is massively cheaper
