Bad comparison honestly.
I primarily play on PC this gen for all the obvious reasons but in the past, I only bought console games physically.
I'm comfortable buying digital on PC because
1- I fully trust Valve to allow me to have access to my games for the rest of my life. They've never taken any digital content away from me.
2- I don't trust Sony or Nintendo to have access to my games for the rest of my life. They have taken digital c...
As much as I only buy physical discs on consoles, physical sales of XBox games are not something Microsoft cares about this gen. That massive leak they suffered a while back shows their next console being digital only. They're HEAVILY focused on only Gamepass this gen. The XBox section in every store worldwide has shrunken to be almost non-existent, and to top it off I cant think of a single game collector I watch on Youtube that collects XBox discs.
If there was a PS5 ...
If Microsoft's leaked XBox handheld comes out and it turns out it's running Windows, is this still a console exclusive?
The term "console exclusive" is even more silly and irrelevant this generation. There are no exclusives on one that the other literally cant run like how its been previously so *who the hell cares?*
PS5 and Series X are practically identical in both hardware and software, and there are literally no games exclusive to the XBox con...
To be fair Limited Run haven't done that for years now. It's "you have 7 or more days to order this game, and we'll produce the exact number of units to ship". You've just gotta check the site every once in a while and you can get anything. Which is why it's kinda less fun now
Off topic rant:
I used to be on the site at 10am to try to quickly check out before the games sold out. I got the first 25-ish Switch ones and a bunch of collect...
(Here's the list just to save you scrolling literally 14 filler paragraphs designed to make you go past the highest amount of really annoying ads. Sorry OP im sure the site you work for makes you do that but that was a little overkill)
PS Plus Extra:
Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands – Next-Level Edition
Resident Evil 2 Remake
Hardspace Shipbreaker
LEGO City Undercover
Just Cause 3
Session Skate Sim

Man I have no idea. I'll be real with you I was on 2 tabs of acid. I think it was a joke about how the judge lost against a PlayStation gamer. Props to me for making as much sense as I did anyway
The crossplay Call of Duty League Championships controversy years ago, oh yeah, I remember it well. Because of the timezones I had to stay up til 5am to watch the finals for the $100k. There was this woman in first place on XBox, seemed like a nice gal. She was in the lead the entire match but got absolutely destroyed by a man whose story involved practicing CoD every day on his way to work, but playing the Vita exclusive Declassified. On the stream he was wearing nothing but a Crash Bandicoo...
Oh my god thats so soon! RTX Remix and UEVR both have the potential to become absolutely enormous game-changers with a bit of time. Imma need a new GPU soon i think.
Why? There's literally not a single reason to own a Series console if you have a PC so I don't know why you'd want both unless you just really like being bombarded with mainstream news and ads when you turn your system on. We don't have to pay literally any subscription fees, our games are cheaper, we can capture games for footage without getting a headache, we can emulate anything including the PS3 with little to no issues and we can customize our games to always *actually* h...
lol are you guys hearing yourselves right now?
Yeah honestly i'd be pretty bummed out if it played like the newer ones. Other than DMC there hasn't been any good hack n slash games in a long while
I'll get disagrees for this since there's so many good games on the PS5 but in my opinion this is without a doubt the single best game on the console. It's just so so so so good and an absurd technical marvel to look at. Make sure you pick the ray tracing 60fps mode!
Most fun I've ever had getting a platinum. It might look like it's for kids but most of the mainline series really isn't. I'm 30 lol
It's becoming more and more rare, with singleplayer games being released completely broken and everything else just being games as a service nonsense. Nice to know a high budget single player 3D platformer can still do well
Honestly, as much as I hate the context of the leak and how it happened, I am absolutely interested in unreleased builds of games. I love when these things leak or are posted by developers after the game's been out for a while or if it's canceled. Its really cool to see how a game evolves over it's time in the oven and I'll surely be playing the leaked build after I beat the game.
In my perfect little make believe world, developers would have a Patreon where...
I mean, anybody downloading this is doing it from Tor from the darkweb and through a VPN so good luck
Jesus it looks gorgeous and it literally doesn't matter. Clickbait garbage headline based off two graphical features the developer opted out of in exchange for framerate. Graphical features that are largely completely irrelevant in a fighting game with a camera like this. What are you gonna do, mod in a freecam and fly over to the boat in the distance to analyze if there's pop-in or not on your flight? Break an environmental object to analyze whether or not the ambient occlusion looks...
Just a heads up gang you can still play Warhawk online super easily on both a modded and unmodded console as well as RPCS3. It's really simple to set up. Just do a quick Google. You can still always find a match too. I play a couple times a week
A battle pass, seasons, virtual currency. I've never actually been happy a game got cancelled til now.
I want to play a sequel to Factions too but not like this. This can burn in hell with the rest of the cash-grab games as a service games.
Remember when online gaming was actually just fun and you could hop into a match of Warhawk or Halo or CoD or Last of Us Factions or Uncharted online and not need to deal with all this?
If all these games were in a bundle for the cost of one month of PS+, would you buy it?
Hell I wouldn't. Why I hate these sub services. You're just buying an unknown game bundle every month but then they lock away things that are free on other platforms like online and cloud saves so you get the added benefit of knowing you're paying money to be bent over and just straight up taken.
Wait. You buy a console directly from them, then you willingly pay a subscription to do something as simple as online multiplayer in 2024, then probably pay even more monthly for Gamepass, and they start throwing full screen ads at you... and you're still not only defending it, but also calling people entitled for being annoyed at it? Damn. I really hope you don't ever end up in an abusive relationship - legit you'd never get out of it.
