I find it amazing there are still people not understanding what VR is or it's potential, as gribble said VR puts you in the game, tracking your head movements giving you freedom to look around, not just front and sides but behind too, you are literally in the game.
I'm sad to say I remember the original, these videos are all well and good, but they will never be able to convey the reality VR brings to the table.
Totally agree, Sony have played things pretty well up to now, PSVR i'm sure will deliver a great experience.
My money is waiting Sony.
Death you do realise the talent needed to make a top game have alsorts of skills, no one person is responsible, programming, graphic design, story boarding etc all come together to make a game work.
there is no doubt some talented people working there that Sony will be very interested in and will be keen to add to their already impressive developer pool.
I would trust Sony to make the most of the talent available, they have a great track record, certainly more so than MS who seem to strangle the life out of some very well known studios.
I earn't a load of bubbles too, one day they all disapeared for some reason, oh well.
It wasn't just joking though, it highlighted exactly what xone owners were and keep on saying ( although as you say they are running out of chalk)
They don't want to be reminded how blind they were.
Or a PS4 over an xone.
Brisco comparing VR to 3d shows how little you understand VR and the potential it offers.
PSVR will be perfect for me to dip my toes into the VR world, it will be the most accesable of the options available and will be a more than capable device to enjoy my first taste of VR.
My money is waiting Sony, just give me a date.
Count me in.
Sony have always tried to tap into the best talent to support the Playstation brand, their first party studios and support they give them is one of the reasons I trust the playstation to deliver, as it always does
Mobiles killed the Vita, everyone has one and is easy gaming on the move, as for VR I can't see it failing, only going from strentgh to strength, encompassing far more than gaming with many including Sony looking to other media and have said as much.
I have no doubt VR is here to stay, but how much of the market Sony can take is a different question, I'm looking forward to finding out, my money is waiting.
As for version 2 I would think it inevitable, people are talking about the VR business being worth 100 billion in the next 5 to 6 years and as the article points out there are many areas of VR that can be improved.
I'm just glad it's finally happening, the future looks bright.
Well I don't think you can consider £3.99 as micro, so in a way they wern't lying / s
N4GGuy24: only thing they have really is the Playstation brand.
WOW the ignorance in that comment is mind boggling.
I have no doubt VR will succeed and be around and grow for many many years, how much of the market PSVR and Sony can claim is the real question.
I think MS are misjudging console gaming again, xone becomes less relevant with this decision and the reasons to own an xone diminishes.
The adavantage of fixed hardware is just that it is fixed, meaning devs know exactly what they are working with and how best to use the hardware, having different hardware devs lose the focus that a console brings to the table.
Anyone still comparing VR to 3D have no idea what VR is or the potential it offers, These are early days for VR, but it will be around for a long, long time.
