I really just hope that they push kratos to the side and introduce a new main character. I love the gameplay, and for the first two games was alright playing as kratos. By the end of the third though I was just sick, he had lost all sympathy, empathy, anything I might have had for him. He literally became just some screaming savage playing out the trope.
Sure in the end he mostly did the right thing kinda, after annihilating the world. Plus there's really no keeping the ...
No he's been running under the entropy that is corporate management for years. I would put money down that his first game out will be pretty groundbreaking.
Everything I read makes it increasingly obvious that publishers are almost exclusively trying to run the gaming industry into the ground. Obviously it's selling very well but the very quick increases in yearly revenue from the gaming industry is just dangerous. In stock terms it would be high risk, and it's m...
It'll be more interesting when the google goggles come out down the road.
Good that whole thing was a waste in a poorly put together package.
They should just focus on putting out smaller individual videos rather than a big downloadable thing thats irritating to use. Making ofs, dev diaries, they could even look to some of the good gaming related series on the net for inspiration.
They could put out little featurettes, lets plays, maybe some reviews. As long as they let them go at it unbiased it would be pretty good. If there cou...
yeeaaahhh but thats only because they don't think it will pay off for them in any way.
People like playing together, games that have local multiplayer end up doing quite well usually.
Obviously the ones that manage to get multiplayer components on one screen/camera are technically the easiest. Thats no reason split screen fps and racing don't do well.
I went and looked and it's all wrong.
Number one has to be big boss at the end of metal gear solid 4. I mean technically he was sorta like on cryogenic life support and clone bodies or some craziness. In anycase he was dead a bunch of times over and he came back. It tied up the ending of a crazy long story arc and answered tons of questions.
People disagree, but it's quite true.
There was word they were looking into making it support two screens after e3. It may end up releasing with the feature, if it doesn't it should have and in the end it really should come out supporting four.
As one controller/screen combo it's a novel idea, with four though. If it could handle having five different cameras going, tv and four screens. That could make for some totally epic story telling opportun...
Thats like the touch of death by most evidence.. Leave the innocent developers alone. MS does best with second and third party support.
Though we may get to see how devs they start themselves work out.
Deus x: hr.
MAG. It had some flaws I would like to see rectified.
Red Dead
Fallout. like 4
Plus all that was in the article
Well it fits. I like it, and knowing hideo kojima it could rightly be possible. would draw the series in a nice even circle and explain why 3 was a prequel when the other games were totally in order, all of the fallowing solid snake.
Plus would leave room for some other awesome simulations later, I want to see a game of The Boss.
The whole series could even be meta meta meta and be a clone of snake/big boss reliving his whole life in order to bring him back...
That Operation Falloujah game too. There are so many games that never make it.
Onlive is more of an unpredictable wild card than anything else, Sure on it's own it could bomb, but just it's being around it's making ripples.
They use pretty sophisticated video compression techniques which only they have the patents too.
I think what will probably happen is some company will buy them. Ea, activision, maybe even sony or microsoft, or nintendo even. Any big game publisher would benefit from buying up onlive and integrating them....
the bigger question is how many people that never played mass effect are going to buy all three games so they can see what all the hubub is about.
"What there's a controversy!? I better check this thing out" Mr normal man gamer guy after hearing about mass effect three scandal.
Then people will stop funding things there. See I think the burden of researching where the money goes is on the people donating.
To me kickstarter seems similar to the stock market and companies going public. Minus the profit sharing, which could be good or bad depending on how you look at it and how the developers use it.
Suppose some of these games are massively successful. The developer responsible will be getting most of the profits back from that beca...
As usual with this guy half crazy talk half great thoughts.
Nobody has come up with a best controlling interface yet.
We have some good ones, but there hasn't been anything perfect Where perfect is something you don't have to think about using, give appropriate feed back and takes a wide range of input.
Maybe next gen we'll start to see the right stuff. I think it will likely be a combination of a wiimote/move like device, with th...
Personally I think if they do that they will end up selling less consoles.
I probably wouldn't get one, granted I could be persuaded. I mean steam doesn't let me sell my games. That's alright though because I almost only buy games on sale from steam.
If I get the games for low enough I don't have a problem not selling or trading them.
With my consoles however I often trade in games I don't play. They games are too expens...
Neither.
After the last handhold generation which had four different psp's and four (five?) different ds sku's. I am waiting for the second or perhaps third release version of each.
For the PSV I'm waiting for one that hopefully has a hdd in it, and for the 3ds to come stock with a second analogue thing.
In addition to the hardware benefits I expect a betnter price and better stock of games, also at better prices.
Not really, they scrapped a nearly done version at some point when they moved the whole dev team to WOW. They started diablo 3 from scratch only three or so years ago. It's still taking a while true but not that that long. Also they have quite a few dev teams working on different things, that titan game, wow dlc, the next starcraft. Which kinda clogs the whole thing up for bliz compared to if they focused on a couple of things.
double post.**
Seriously patents should totally not be part of the picture when it comes to game design.
Do you see people patenting different methods of camera work in cinematography. No because it's utterly ridiculous and would ruin the art of film.
Sadly gaming was birthed into a capitalist world and is getting raped by corporations that are trying to turn it into a money printing machine rather than letting it mature as a great wonderful form of art.
