@bratman
That's a pretty bad example. Lair came out in 2007. It was hyped and ended up with 53 on metacritic. So of course it wasn't going to be praised in the comments...not to mention it came out around the same time as halo 3 which ended up getting 94 on metacritic and was also bashed in the comments, even compared negatively to Resistance which came out a year earlier.
Still, this was eleven years ago. I'm really not sure pointing out a 5...
@AnubisG
That's an urban legend.
You registered in 2015. I registered in 2008, and frequently visited n4g even before that. It was just like now except people took away bubbles instead of disagreeing. And back then, they already said "yeah but it used to be the opposite when ps3 first came out".
So as far as I can tell, you're looking at 10 years of trolling fueled by those who weren't there back then but who, for some reason, believe...
Out of curiosity, how can you put ME3 in bad endings because "everything you do is meaningless and Shepard dies and the reapers are gone and the Normandy is destroyed " and put TWD1 in good endings because you decide the fate of lee? I mean you can dislike ME3 but that makes no sense.
You literally cannot change anything in TWD . No matter what you do along the season, you end up with the bad guy opposing everything you did, Clem alone , Lee not alive, and Omid a...
As long as people want it. If you don't, don't buy it.
-I really liked games like FF13, The Order, Dragon Age 2, Watchdogs, ...
-Star Wars the old republic is essentially KOTOR 3-to-10.
-Uncharted would be much better with three times less gunfights
-I'd take a new viva pinata over any other rare game
-People who care more about brand than about games are the cancer of gaming.
I registered on n4g about ten years ago. Back then, it was exactly like now, with the exact same "we had to deal with the same shit when 360 was on top".
Well, 10 years later, it's still a pretty lame reason to act like a fanboy, and it still doesn't bring anything good.
Some people don't even agree or disagree with the content. They just praise or bash a manufacturer.
If you know what you're getting into, it's a great game ! Most people who dislike it either didn't know what it was or kinda knew but for some reason thought it would be different this time.
I loved. I'm just mad at my friend who had the controller when 2 characters died :-D
PSN was free back then, Live was not. so it made sense to refuse since that was actually a real reason why people would potentially switch platform. Now that they all offer the same service with similar prices, they all have their exclusive lineup (more or less...), I really see no reason why Sony would be against it, since it won't change anything to the market and will allow PS4 gamers to play with everyone else on multiplatform games. How is it hurting them in any way ?
Omelette AU fromage 😁
Well, Notice I didn't mention the characters among the few good things. Notice I also mentioned technical issues and the story lacking in scope. I still stand by what I said about the combat though. At least with a M+K combo, it was by far the best it's ever been in the series, and one of the most enjoyable I've seen in a TPS.
There were quite a few good things. Combat movement and leveling were spot on, environnements were diverse, large, and looked great, the main story missions were pretty good for the most part (even though the story lacked in scope compared to the original trilogy). The game was a 7, not a 3. And with less technical issues and better missions in the open world area, it would have easily been an 8 or more.
It's not meant for you to understand, it's mean to pick your curiosity. Also did you expect to figure out everything the story has to offer in a 5 mins cgi trailer ?
I see no reason why any gamer would be against any kind of cross platform gaming, except blind fanboyism. It doesn't change exclusives, it doesn't change your experience, it just allows you to play with friends who happen to have a different system. I personally couldn't care less if COD playerbase is going to be 10 millions instead of 5. However, If I end up liking a game with a few hundred players, getting the playerbase back to a few thousands would be really benefical. I wanna...
(I meant two thirds among allies of course)
That's strange. I don't remember people being so obsessed with "historical accuracy" last year when they made a ww1 game without Russian or French characters in the story, that was quickly dismissed as "it's just a game and they said there will be a dlc".
So basically, ignoring two Nations of the "triple entente", Nations representing almost two thirds of deaths and military wounded in ww1 was ok, but now for some reason adding wo...
I don't see what they're trying to say...
Look at steam ;
skyrim : 26% of people who played it finished the storyline.
Tomb raider: only 44% finished the game. MP's fault ? well, 3% reached level 10 in MP...
Mortal Kombat X ? 28% finished the story mode. 29% won 1 online game
Broken sword 5 ? 36%
Walking dead season 1 ? 36%
Darksiders 2 ? 20%
bayonetta ? 15%
Stellaris ? 4%

Anyone can review anything if they want to, just take it for what it is : the reviewer's opinion, that maybe can help people with a similar opinion. Also calling anything under 9 trolling is ridiculous, people can have plenty of reasons to give it less than that. Reasons you disagree with, but that's irrelevant, it's their reasons... If you were to review Europa Universalis 4 or tomorrow, would you give it 8.7 like the critics, or 8.8 like the users ? probably not... would your th...
It's different. I own a PC and a PS4. I play my ps4 every once in a while for some exclusives like horizon. I play pc the rest of the time for cheaper and better looking multiplat games, but I mostly play on PC because the games I like the most don't exist on consoles or play better on PC (RTS, 4x, tower defense, Mobas...).
Two my favorite games from the last two years are Stellaris and total war Warhammer. They may not get 95 on metacritic, but they keep me awake until 7am i...
I'd like to ask the same question, but with motorstorm target render, from e3 2005 too.
Then don't
