In all honesty, I knew once the PS3 launched that it would take a while.
More than a year disadvantage, high price, launch games compared to 360`s second year games, constant media bashing, MS advertising, etc.
Everybody knew it would happen eventually though, that much was obvious. PS3 is set to move into second place this gen, and soon to pass up the SNES, putting all 3 Playstation consoles in the top 5 of all time, that`s ownage.

Yeah, when Blu-Ray players were $1000 and PS3s were $600, then maybe.
But nobody is buying PS3s for Blu-Ray anymore that died a while ago. You have been able to get $100 Blu-Ray players for years now.

One thing that people constantly need to be reminded of, is that this is only the PS3`s 4 year on the market, and it has never been a penny below $300, yet it still sold over 40 million units and caught the 360 despite the BS media attempts to slam it.
When we look back at this gen in 6 years, the PS3`s 10th year, the "PS3 is doomed" mentality is going to be the laughing stock of gaming.
I think we all need to just wait to see how Kinect performs. It should boost 360 sales, but at that entry price, I personally don`t think it will be enough to keep the PS3 at bay, especially with GT5 and a potential price cut around the corner.
I still don`t think the PS3 needs a price cut to be honest. The PS3 has been selling tremendously, demolishing the 360, and nearly even with the Wii for the year despite being more expensive than both. Not only that, but Sony is making solid profits on PS3s now, I just don`t see the rush for a price drop.
That`s not to say a price drop is a bad idea, because a $200 PS3 will ruthlessly trample anything that gets in it`s way, you better believe that.
Only 2 out of those 4 are 360 exclusives, fail.
And yes, those are great games.
Let me explain something to you Skadoosh. According to official sales numbers, without any spin, twist or fanboy BS, the PS3 is trailing the 360 by 0.4 million, that`s essentially nothing. The 3 million gap is shipped vs sold, that`s irrelevant. With a gap of 0.4 million, that means that not only did the PS3 defend against the 360 slim and Reach, but it even went as far as out-performing it as well. B, He got the numbers wrong and will correct them soon.
C, The official numbers announced earlier would be confirmed to be shipped, leaving the PS3 behind by less than 1 million units.

This is actually very happy news for me, and not just because the PS3 continuously closes the gap, but because we can lay all of the stupid guesstimates floating around to rest.
Well, you missed out on reaching out to the biggest fanbase of any console, ever. How stupid of you. It`s not like I care, I played well over 150 amazing PS2 games and didn`t miss you one bit :)

I would do the same. Sony is really putting their hand out to the hardcore gamers next year. You can either choose to grab hold, or get left behind. The choice is yours.
Hardcore gamers will be flocking to the PS3 next year, as it will be the only console with hardcore exclusive games.
