"and the new XBOX console is just around the corner."
Awww. Throwing in the towel already? 360 just not cutting it anymore? You 360 fanboys really have given up.
Ok, I think O and X for yes and no makes sense, but what does a green triangle that represents a head, and a pink square that represents a piece of paper have to do with anything? Am I missing something?
DS3 wins for me hands down. Not only because I`ve been using the design for 15 years, but because:
-Very light
-Internal rechargeable lithium ions
-Motion control which is implemented perfectly when needed
-Far more responsive analog sticks compared to current controllers
-Pressure sensitive and highly responsive d-pad
-More responsive buttons thanks to them being flush, as opposed to the 360`s bulbous and fat buttons
-No dead space, it`...
"Nowadays, however, it seems that Sony is content to merely fall in step behind everyone else and simply try hard to not fall too far behind."
Um, hello? Times have changed. The 360 has grabbed a large chunk of the hardcore audience from last gen, and the most casual console in recent times, the Wii is STEAMROLLING everybody. Open your eyes pal, do you really think Sony is "content" with falling in line with everybody else? They`ve been working their ass o...
Not a chance. For me, if I were to consider this the best generation, I would need way more games and way more time. Honestly, all this talk about next generation sickens me. I would take the PS2 library alone over the Wii, 360 and PS3 combined. Get back to me in a couple years, and if the big 3 really made a strong push at the end and gave me another 100+ great games, then we will talk.
Wow, that`s quite a statement.
I wouldn`t call them a joke of the generation by any stretch. I will say however, that as time goes on, it becomes more and more clear that Microsoft are still rookies in the gaming industry, still learning to walk. It`s sad to say, but I believe their weak lineup combined with the mediocre Kinect, has proved yet again that Microsoft failed to deliver the gamers a long lasting console.
Yep, the game looks like so much fun.
MS did a lot better this gen than last, that`s for sure. But I do agree that the Xbox brand is my least favorite in gaming. Sony is my favorite, they truly changed the way I play, and Sega and Nintendo are awesome too, childhood favorites. The 360 had the coolest online for a long time, and it kept me more entertained than Wii or PS3 for a while, but online only goes so far. Xbox Live is awesome, and so is online in general, but it will never be as fun or as memorable as a great game as a who...
I refuse to buy a new console for at least 2 more years. Just because the 360 is loosing steam and has a very weak upcoming game lineup does not mean everybody is ready for next generation. I`m not going to suddenly jump into next-gen just because MS sucks at making a long lasting console.
Can`t catch up? That`s all it`s been doing since it launched. The gap is getting smaller and smaller. Why don`t you try to explain why it can`t catch up? Because all the facts prove otherwise.
Exactly. It baffles me how some people are literally incapable of playing alone, or hate doing so. Are people not able to enjoy both Fallout 3 and COD? Dead Space and Halo? God of War and LBP? I don`t see the problem, and I certainly don`t see a NEED for more games to have co-op/ multiplayer, just find the ones that do.
Wow, these look really nice. Assassins Creed Brotherhood, GT5, Fable 3, LBP2, Halo: Reach, Fallout and more all look like extremely high quality collectors editions.
My reason was simple. I knew it was going to be the best console that would last me the longest time, and sure enough, I was right.
Of course the PC version is going to outperform the console versions. Thankfully, I was never planning on getting Crysis 2. My decision was solidified the other day when the new Crysis 2 multiplayer gameplay came out just after the Killzone 3 multiplayer trailer. OUCH! Killzone 3 slaps Crysis 2 all around.
Nice. I`ll be picking this up day one along with the many other PS3 exclusives Sony has been so kind to stack their 2011 lineup with.
Even though they are going to pull into second here pretty soon, it`s going to be a while before they come in first, and that`s assuming they ever do. It`s not my concern. Clearly, Sony designed the PS3 as a long lasting console, and that`s what matters to me. I expect another 4 to 5 STRONG, years for the PS3, and you know it`s going to happen too.
Good luck with that. I`d rather have physical media formats in which we`ve been using for decades. I simply would not have the patience to download games like MGS4, and they`re just going to get bigger from here as long as the media formats used keep advancing.
By the way THQ, I`d like to see some evidence that prove packaged goods are dying.
PS4? Ha, good one, PS3 is just getting started. Hell, if the PS3 keeps things up, I would not be surprised if it`s going to be up against the nextbox and wii 2 for a good part of the next generation!
PS3 wins in hardware, nice. This is common knowledge though, everybody knows this.
