Even though I own them all, it`s been a while since I`ve played them. I`d jump on this instantly.
Wrong, wrong and wrong. I love how when the 360 gets a sales boost that was to be expected, and quite normal from a re-design, people seem to think it`s simply going to takeover, just like that. How delusional are people nowadays?
To be honest, I`m not so sure it will take the lead. It`s going to take more than GT5. The PS3 will pass up the 360, but it`s going to have to wait until after the slim, Kinect and Reach surge wear off. If Sony really pushes move, advertises hard, and owns black friday like they did last year, then I would imagine the takeover would start to begin early next year.
Well, a console`s success is determined by the sales. However, when every console is selling well, and the difference between the sales fairly negligible, then sales are not really relevant to the gamers. It surely doesn`t stop people from spewing misinformation and claiming dominance though.
VGchartz numbers are so incredibly butchered that fanboys will always flock to it depending if their side happens to have the more favorable numbers at that particular time. I guess nowadays we just completely disregard official statements, you know, the ones they are required by law to report accurately.

Re-read my comment and then come at me again. I never said anything about the PS3 being ahead, I was talking about when the 360 was getting outsold, there`s a difference. Going by Omega`s logic, when a console is getting outsold, it`s the least popular, and the PS3 was outselling the 360 overall for quite a while.
Just curious, what were you preaching when the 360 was getting consistently outsold month after month after month? I didn`t see you running around screaming about how the 360 was the least popular.
It`s amazing how the 360 gets a boost from several new sku`s, one that is $100 less than the competition, and the fanboys run amok claiming dominance, going as far as putting the 360`s sales in the same league as the Wii`s. The delusion is astounding.

Most consoles that have ever been released have been mainstream, and with only a few companies making consoles anymore, it`s kind of hard not to be mainstream. I mean, modern consoles don`t exactly have cult followings, they`re either a big hit, or their not.
I`ve been there since the beginning. Playstation has truly delivered the best gaming experiences I`ve ever had. Yes, more than Nintendo, Sega, Microsoft and others, so don`t even come at me like that.
