I disagree with a lot of what you said, but gave you an agree because I don't understand why Peter Molyneux is so popular.
mos def: "Even you do have it, why do you just do yourself a favor (and in turn everyone here) and just sell it. You'll get value for it."
That's a good idea.. then he can get some money for all the 360 exclusives coming out this year *rimshot*
Yeah... Sony needs to design the PS4 with online in mind like MS did with the 360, instead of it being an afterthought.
Bring on the disagrees, but it's true.
Not to mention blu-ray.. he said in '07 that they needed the storage space and playing the demo, you can see why. The city is really detailed and there's A LOT going on under the hood, like you said.
"Spider-man: Web of Shadows say otherwise"
LOLOL
@ below: You said from a technical standpoint, Spiderman: Web of Shadows says hi, which is crazy talk. All those games you listed play like open-world games. Crackdown is my fav 360 game, but if you took the "combat" from it and put it in a linear game it would fail horribly. Same goes with GTA4 and spider-man. So none of those games "say otherwise" since they can't touch infamous from a g...
infamous isn't getting enough hype IMO... not until we see a Mountain Dew flavor.
Maybe "Electric Blue"? =P
And only than a handful of games sell like Halo3/Gears/GT.. saying a game sinks into the abyss if it doesn't sell over 6 million copies is stupid. Even the first Resistance has an active community.
Dude, did you just say "throwing cars, shocking people, and climbing buildings" is BORING?!? =P
EDIT @ below: Well, it is.. if you play infamous and don't have at least a little fun, you have a stick up your butt and should probably give up on gaming. I'm not saying go out and buy it, but you should definitely give it a rent sometime if you get the chance.
haha, read the article.
It's asking if it's ok to make a game about a war that's still taking place.
I personally don't see the big deal... we see movies based off current conflicts in the middle east all the time.
typo =P
Plus AC2 may look better than infamous since it doesn't have to do so much under the hood like all the crazy physics.
Sucker Punch isn't a first-party studio, so he's not a Sony employee. And a lot of the people at SP worked for Microsoft and have friends who still work there (SP is based out of Seattle)... so I'm sure there are some devs there who have a grasp on the 360's hardware.
Besides, I think he's mainly talking about blu-ray.
EDIT: Did Ubisoft say how it was only possible on 360? Nate Fox specifically said they needed all the storage space that blu-ray provided. I'm not say...
Nothing new here... Nate Fox said this like 2 years ago. And I think he said it's mainly because of blu-ray.
So far it's pretty bad, not OMGhorrible... but '10 is shaping up nicely, unless ME2 and LP2 go multiplat. Either way, we'll still probably get Alan Wake, Gears 3, and Splinter Cell (unless that goes multiplat, too haha)
8.9 = meh
9.0 = must-buy
OPM's review came out before IGN's.
And IGN gives high scores to 360 games, too. From the last year, Fable 2, Gears 2, Left 4 Dead, and Halo Wars all got higher scores from IGN than metacritic. Oh, and the last Sony exclusive released (MLB 09) has a higher metacritic average compared to the IGN score.
Open Zone --->
Be thankful it's in the open zone... and PS3 games do sell.
Don't provoke him, please. =P
My point is new IPs are usually held to a tougher standard than sequels. Look at GTA4.. it got a 10 in graphics from IGN iirc, while this got an 8.5.
I like the white.
